    Great links, thanks for sharing!

On another note, has anyone received more info?  The EFMP trick isn't working, and there's nothing new on my SURF or CDB.  I reached out to AFPC about a week ago, but still no response.  I'm in a pretty short-staffed position, and my international supervisor is getting antsy about scheduling me for exercises this spring.  It's hard to commit to anything without at least a rough idea of what my IFT/PCS dates are.

I heard they try to prioritize those exiting the age window or coming up on DEROS.

I got the auto-generated Notification of Assignment this weekend.  RNLTD mid-July.  I'd say it's unreasonable of them to expect you to move with less than 3-4 mos notice, so I'd assume you're safe to plan Spring exercise (until June-ish at least).

You're still calling it wild bullshit. I don't get it? Is the video of Biden saying he will bring an end to the pipeline fake?

If you cannot see the video or do not trust any of the sources, I can get you another source.

Perhaps you will find this sufficient: This is the official White House Transcript. Once again, is this bullshit? Please answer.

    https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/02/07/remarks-by-president-biden-and-chancellor-scholz-of-the-federal-republic-of-germany-at-press-conference/

(Speaks German.) (As interpreted.)  If I may ask you, Chancellor Scholz — you said there was some strategic ambiguity that was needed in terms of sanctions.  I just wanted to know whether the sanctions you are envisaging and the EU is working on — and the U.S. as well — are already finished, finalized, or is there still work ongoing?

And you’re not really saying what the details are.  Is that just an excuse for Germany, maybe, to not support the SWIFT measures?

PRESIDENT BIDEN:  The first question first.  If Germany — if Russia invades — that means tanks or troops crossing the — the border of Ukraine again — then there will be — we — there will be no longer be a Nord Stream 2.  We will bring an end to it.

Q    But how will you — how will you do that exactly, since the project and control of the project is within Germany’s control?

PRESIDENT BIDEN:  We will — I promise you, we’ll be able to do it.

CHANCELLOR SCHOLZ:  (As interpreted.)  Thank you very much for your question.  I want to be absolutely clear: We have intensively prepared everything to be ready with the necessary sanctions if there is a military aggression against Ukraine.

And this is necessary.  It is necessary that we do this in advance so that Russia can clearly understand that these are far-reaching, severe measures.

It is part of this process that we do not spell out everything in public because Russia could understand that there might be even more to come.  And, at the same time, it is very clear we are well prepared with far-reaching measures.  We will take these measures together with our Allies, with our partners, with the U.S., and we will take all necessary steps.  You can be sure that there won’t be any measures in which we have a differing approach.  We will act together jointly.

(Speaks in English.) And possibly this is a good idea to say to our American friends: We will be united, we will act together, and we will take all the necessary steps.  And all the necessary steps will be done by all of us together.

Q    And will you commit today — will you commit today to turning off and pulling the plug on Nord Stream 2?  You didn’t mention it, and you haven’t mentioned it.

CHANCELLOR SCHOLZ:  As I’ve already said, we are acting together, we are absolutely united, and we will not be taking different steps.  We will do the same steps, and they will be very, very hard to Russia, and they should understand.

It's a credible source, but how does this support your theory?

All I'm reading from this is that the US and Germany were united in their efforts oppose a Russian invasion of Ukraine.  There are some vague threats(?) that are open to interpretation, but nothing conclusive.  This can be written off as good old-fashioned chest beating.

Have any other selects been notified by MPF or FSS? My interpretation of the PDSM is that we should have gotten some sort of notification from them but no one in my wing has heard anything.

Also, do they take more than 1 person per squadron? Looking at the names lists for the past 2 years there aren't any repeated squadrons and so we've been wondering if there's a limit of only 1 person per sqdn. Out of our 4 sqdn applicants, only 2 of us got picked up, but the other guy moved from my sqdn to the OSS right around when the board was meeting and he shows on the selection PDSM as being a part of the OSS, not the squadron that we both were in when we applied.

Nothing from MPF or FSS yet.  Last day to decline with AFPC was 24 Jan, so it's probably just going to take some time for RIPs to flow through AFPC and MPF.

I'd be very surprised if they had an artificial limit capping number of selects per squadron.  Also, that's odd that the member showed up as their old Sq.  I PCS'd about the same time as the board and showed up under my new unit.

AFPC posted the stats of the board on the portal in case anyone else was curious, interesting to see

PCSM score averages went up slightly and AFOQT Pilot average stayed the same.

Wish they'd provide a board outbrief or something similar.  It'd be immensely beneficial to those wishing to reapply and in mentoring others that want to apply for UFT if they provided a little insight into what influenced selections each year.  Especially what they saw as the key differentiators between selects without PPLs/with scores on the lower end of spectrum from non-selects.

Nothing in my CDB yet, but I completed an IFC1 at USAFSAM in the past.  From what I understand, they did all the MFS testing back then and I don't need to recomplete it.  My DD Form 2808 stamp also doesn't mention needing to complete MFS.

Same I did mine at wright pat back in 2016, don’t know if that’s too long ago and I’ll have to go back but nothing in my CDB now

I suppose as long as the 2808 doesn't say you need final certification from MFS, you're good to go.

Can you apply again if you decline it? I thought the psdm said you can't

You can apply again without jumping through special hoops if you decline it AND don't have an ETP for something (age, TFCDS, etc.).

From the PSDM:  "Those who decline are eligible to do so once and will be eligible for a future UFT board. Those members who had an approved ETP for age and/or TFCSD or had previously declined flying training are not eligible and should be counseled as such according to AFMAN 36-2100, Military Utilization and Classification, paragraph 3.3.2.12.1., UFT eligibility and ineligibility criteria."

That being said, this board was my second application AFTER I denied a selection to something other than UPT with an ETP as described above.  Just talk to AFPC about your situation when they drop the next UFT Board PSDM (Mar/Apr probably) and ask how to proceed.  I was essentially told I just needed to get an "Other" ETP to be eligible again.

    Hope that helps!

By chance, Is anyone now looking at the guard path to UPT? Heavily considering it, with how difficult it seems to get picked up.

I didn't get picked up on the first AD board I applied to and tried the same thing.  Applied to at least a dozen units and rushed the ones I could make it out too.  It seemed way more competitive; several applicants were being greeted as old friends because they've come back to apply year after year.

Whichever way you go, keep at it and don't let this board get you down!

    Bummer. Didn't get picked up

99 pilot, 87 PCSM, stratted 2nd from the wing, Wing/CC wrote my LoR, but no PPL. 5th year in the AF but first time applying. I knew not having not a PPL could hurt but I was hopeful because I thought I had a good application otherwise

Sorry to hear that.  I went through the same scenario a few years ago and was pretty bummed.

Stay positive, get that PPL and apply again this year; sounds like you've got a great package, so you'll get it next time!

This was just posted to the Portal:

20 Dec update:  I realize that many of you are probably wondering why it takes two months between the board and the results to come out and I wanted to try to shed some light on that and let you know where things stand.

Once the board concludes, I then send a list of the results to all of the assignment teams/CFMs to get career field releases.  That was finalized on 9 Dec.  I then have to brief the results to the AFPC/CC so he can certify the results.  That occurred today, 20 Dec.  The next step is to staff the PSDM throughout AFPC.  With the holidays coming up, folks will be taking some well-deserved time off and I imagine it will take about 2.5-3 weeks until the staffing is complete.  The last step is final release approval from my Directorate Chief.  As soon as he approves it, I will upload the PSDM to myPers Secure.  At that point, commanders will be able to notify their selects and then the PSDM will go public 7 days after the secure release.

With all that said, I still can't give an exact date that it will be released other than to say it will be ASAP after I get the final approval.  It is still on track for a mid-Jan release and rest assured that I will publish it at the earliest possible opportunity that I can.

Damn, that is some good info.  I'll never get over just how long it takes to get things staffed.

MFS occurs after notification of selection, so not that, and if the board selects in November, I can only imagine the delay has to do with the holidays, and with the process of assigning people to different training classes, since we are all sort of sliding in to the normal pipeline of people flowing from the commissioning sources. That is assuming training bases and dates come with board selection notifications, which I'm not sure of. Does anyone know how long active duty selects tend to wait before heading to training? I know there won't be the standard "casual" status for us, and I'm hoping we won't just stay in our current AFSCs for a whole year or more.

Knew an AD guy that was picked up last board.  He didn't head to UPT until Nov 22.

Luckily I'm already at Wright-Pat, but this is different than the flight physical I already did that took an entire day? It seems like that's something they should do before they make pilot selections, but I did not know that, so thank you for the info!

Your DD2808 should say whether or not you still need to go through MFS.  The stamp on mine says "Medically qualified for: FCI pending successful completion of MFS"

Found this as well: USAFSAM - FCI - Medical Flight Screening > ONE AFRL / TWO SERVICES > Display

"FCI examinations accomplished at USAFSAM need not return for medical flight screening, since it is accomplished in conjunction with all FCI exams (and RPA pilot exams) done at USAFSAM and the combined evaluation is forwarded to HQ AFRS/RSG for simultaneous certification."
