Sent to NGB: ?? NGB Approved: ?? OTS: ?? UPT: ?? Been almost 1.5ish years since getting hired off the street - seems like 2+ to UPT is the new norm with how long the pipeline and process is taking. Totally understand patience is key here with COVID backups and what not.. anyone else experiencing something similar?

Hi all- the recruiter handling my enlistment passed some timeline info along and I wanted to see if that checked with others in similar situations. I finished MEPs in December and my unit's medical group now has my MEPs packet. Recruiter said the packet has to go through SAS (?), then through the wing, and then up to the ATAG and then the NGB prior to enlisting/ getting FC1 dates. Any rough estimates on how long that should take? Mucho comprendo that the whole process is lengthy, delayed, and frustratingly long: just want an idea how how long is acceptable before knocking on doors to keep things moving. Cheers

Not sure- I'd assume it's still on my own dime until I'm able to swear in.. which from my understanding is somewhere between MEPS and FC1 or directly after FC1 assuming the NGB approves the paperwork. At this point I'm just stoked to have a slot, but it seems like it'll be a while before OTS and that's without the added time of the PRK wait times.

Hi all- Long time lurker but got picked up off the street at a ANG fighter unit a few months ago and was curious to see if anyone is in the same situation I'm in- my contacts are just slightly out of FC1 limits (-3.25 both eyes) so it looks like I'll have to get LASIK/PRK. I'm working with my unit's flight doc regarding timeline of surgery + going to MEPS and Wright Pat. Anyone had a similar timeline or experience of getting hired at a unit and then needing eye surgery? Trying to work the 6 month wait time prior to FC1 in since it's projected that I wouldn't even head to OTS until sometime 12-14 months down the road. Thanks! Phone interviews were last week.. still waiting to hear back about next round but a friend of mine who had a phone interview already got the TBNT email. I guess no news is good news?
