I was picked up in last years board and I’m still stationed at Elmendorf. Never been contacted about curtailing DEROS up to this point, but I’m URT and am TDY for all my training. Might change once I finally PCS mid next year which will be about 6 months before my DEROS.

Thanks! I will be PCSing for UPT, and actually heard from APFC today that they are working my DEROS now.  I would assume they will work yours as well.  Doesn’t seem to be that big of a deal from our side, mostly admin actions they need to take...

Called CSS, Im on the loss roster. May 2020 for JBSA Randolph..... not 100% sure why that is, but thats what Ive got now. Im a pilot select with my PPL already.

Strange its not VN, XL or CB.  Is Randolph Pilot Training Next?  A little insider GK, that is where they will be doing Operational Testing on the T-X and had originally wanted actual UPT studs...

22 Jan MFS for me as well. Did you guys reach out to your FSS to accept? I saw something on the PSDM about accepting or declining, but haven’t gotten anything from them other than a rip for MFS.

On the PSDM under the second bullet it states that if you are NOT Declining then no action is needed and you will be scheduled for training.  You only need to let them know if you are turning it down.

  4. Jan 22 for MFS as well - I look forward to meeting you (Bob and Patrick) .  The word I got from AFPC is that there are new vision test that are required even if you have a current FC-1.  Hoping to get some gouge on what they are testing for soon...

Interesting thoughts on going to IFT again, though it was called IFS when I went through previously.

  5. Stirring up an old thread!  The FY20 boards results have been released to Commanders, and should be public on Thursday this week.  For those of us that were fortunate enough to get picked up, I have a few questions.  What was the turn time to get RIPs/orders?  In reviewing the thread, it looks like you got informed ~7 Jan and got informed of your bases/dates on ~19 Jan, is that correct?

From the January notification, what was the earliest turn time you had to get to UPT?  It looks like there were a few PCSs that were in June/July/August.  Does 4-7 months sound about right?  I think this would put our dates from March - June.  AFPC said there was a little backlog for UPT folks this year, is that the same story you had last year?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

    URT

    PCSM 60 (w/25 hours)

    AFOQT P69 (so to speak), N77, AA86, V79, Q85

#1/3 strat from my Wing applicants.

Competed last year and got put on the alternate list w/ PCSM of 38, then got a follow-up email asking if I was interested in ABM.

Politely said I was not interested.

Not sure I'll accept this one either, so there may be an RPA gig opening for any interested parties.  I would however, consider going CSO (3rd choice) instead.  Think they'd let me swap if there's an opening?

I've got one more shot to compete next year and I'll need an ETP for TFCSD but not age.  I'll take the AFOQT one more time and the TBAS too after memorizing flash cards and playing the hell out of some Ace Combat 7 with joystick and rudder pedals; finish up the PPL (36 hours now) and then give it one more run.  This shit is tiring...

They offered me CSO when I turned down RPA last year.

From the UFT Board page on the Portal:

"The list will be on sent to FSS's via AFPC Secure tonight, 6 Nov, and the notification of the results will be in their daily email that gets sent at 0230 central time each night. Specific timing will vary by base and how quickly the FSS's get the info to the Commanders."

I can confirm that the list is out there.  Now it’s up to your leadership! Good luck!

Nah man, nothing yet.  Nothing on the loss roster.  I am beginning to think my personnelist friend didn't know what he was talking about when he gave me that info.

I think this may still be the case.  Got word that commanders would have it for sure by Friday from one of the board facilitators.  I was really hoping your Thursday gouge was good though!

I'd say it's almost certainly "first thing in the morning" central time. Im going to give our FSS over here on the east coast about until 1100 EST before I ping them. I was only app from my Wing, so I'm afraid if I don't poke the FSS they might sit on the list over the long weekend.

I can say this only because I have done my time with stripes in a support role (mind you this was over 10 years ago), don't ever underestimate the ability for a SrA to sit on something that is meaningless to them and dire information for someone else.

  10. I spoke with my career field functional.  Per request by AFPC, we were 'released for consideration' over two weeks ago.  That would indicate that if the board was finished by the 26th of Sept things are at least in the right direction, though they also reiterated the release is set for mid November.

Getting a little anxious over here!
