Got my class info. Going to Vance with a CSD 16 November. Anyone else heading to Vance?

I am a navigator right now with 84 gate months. Going to be on casual for UPT for about 1 month and probably at least 4 months before I start flying. So I am wondering if I will loose flight pay. I am 99% sure I won’t. The big picture is I took the AVB for my AFSC (12R) and in that contract the only way you loose the bonus is If you stop getting flight pay. (This is the abbreviated version but essentially correct.) so I am just seeing how that will go. As far as I can tell as long as I don’t go DNIF for more than six months it shouldn’t be an issue.

So you will just loose gate months but not flight pay correct?

But what about the time between when you stop flying and are waiting on casual status to start flying again. Could it stop in this time?

This is what my experience has been. You don’t need them until you start class. When you are casual you are wearing ABUs/OCPs or SDBs.

Anyone heading to MFS tomorrow? If so are you renting a car or getting a cab?

The cool part will be living in San Antonio. The bad part... PIT instructors....

Wait so there are going to be UPT classes going through at Randolph. That would be sweet to end up there.

Can’t believe I got in. Upt select. 87 PCSM (w/ PPL) 86 pilot AFOQT INav #1 from my wing. this was my third try to get to UPT. For those who get told they didn’t get it this year, keep trying! It sucks to get told you aren’t good enough but man, when you get there it’s such a feeling!

Could be the FSS hasn’t sent it. The one person in our FSS who has access is out and the wing won’t know until they are back. Sounds like bullshit to me

Damn dude. Sorry to hear that. If you don’t mind me asking what is your AFSC? I have heard of guys not getting picked up because of manning in their career field.
