Sounds good to me. Let's get that 10 year clock started 👊

Yeah, got my RIP, just waiting on the orders. Outbound assignments said it should be any day now. Hoping to get on TMO's schedule ASAP before everyone else does.

8 minutes ago, Lost as you are said:
I think for the class start dates it's situation dependent. My RNLTD to Columbus (see you there!) Is 15 Sep and my current projected start date is 14 Oct. Still no orders or RIP for me though. I'm just thankful with everything going on I'm still able to move.
Same here, was told a Columbus start date of 14 Oct. Look forward to meeting you guys.

I wonder if this has something to do with the migration to UPT 2.5 we'll all be in.
Where did you hear that Bob? Is that for all UPT bases?

Has anyone been able to find a reg that says our current unit still buys our flight suits even if we aren't going to IFT?
I may be mistaken, but I believe those not going to IFT get them issued during in-processing.

For my MFS appointment I got an NA for off-base lodging... I guess I'll be taking a lot of cab rides to and from the hotel. It seems more cost effective to get a rental car.

I called and asked what they mean by you just hand carry your medical records. They said this is only for patients who have had corrective eye surgery.

All the CSOs I knew from college went to Langley for their physicals -- I also went to Virginia Tech, so maybe that's why.

Good gouge, Patrick.
Did your MFS date change on CDB, or did AFPC tell you?

Anybody else get training dates/bases besides IFS?
Nothing on my end for UPT. I don't need IFS.

It sounds like everyone has Jan MFS dates, except for me. For those of you going in Jan, are you all going to IFS?
It would make sense for them to send you guys there first to make an IFS class soon after.

Is this your first time completing MFS? Or is it a second visit as ‘CCT BEAT ME ONE’ alluded to above?
First time for me.

Just signed my training RIP -- MFS date of 26 Feb.

Wasn't the last board like 10 months ago? Not too long to be waiting, in my opinion! I've heard horror stories of guys waiting like half a year.
-
If the timeline is anything similar to what it was last year, we should begin to hear about IFS/MFS/UFT class dates starting tomorrow, in-line with the public release, at the earliest. All the assignments and TDYs have to be manually hand-jammed by AFPC, so we will probably start to see a slow trickle of dates/RIPs hitting our inboxes.
Keep an eye on your 'Career Data Brief', under vMPF; it will list IFS/MFS under 'Projected Training' with a start and end date. Concerning class start dates, your unit's loss roster (controlled by the CSS) is the first place to indicate any pending assignment, even before CC advance notification or the auto-generated AFPC assignment e-mail.

Ah, roger. I didn't have eyes on the spreadsheet. We only received either yay or nay from our Wing. UPT is still UPT at the end of the day, haha.

Just got word...UPT select!
No word on ENJJPT yet, though. Anyone else heard?

#1/3 Wing Strat
An approved ETP for my AFIT ADSC.

I see last year the list was published on the 7th but assignments didn’t come out until the 19th. Think that’ll be the same this year?
Hope so. My wife is more curious about when and where we're going. I'm just hoping if haha. I think the PSDM says something about 7 business days for assignment notifications.

I am also hoping to be notified tomorrow. I know our Wing had only three applicants, so there are a lot of high-level eyes on the results of this board. Here's to hoping our leadership doesn't hose us tomorrow and hold the results until Friday...or worse, until Tuesday after the long holiday weekend 😶.

Nah man, nothing yet. Nothing on the loss roster. I am beginning to think my personnelist friend didn't know what he was talking about when he gave me that info.

So I might be stretching here but Im hoping to get as much info as possible and hoping someone here might be able to answer some questions I had. First a little back story. When I applied for this board, I did so with the intention of accepting only a CSO slot and potentially a RPA slot. Recently I found out I was medically disqualified from CSO so I am trying to find out as much info as possible about RPA. All my questions are involving the pipeline. I know the it involves IFT (2 months), then 4.5 months at Randolph, and then 5 months at Holloman. However, AFPC is telling me these are all TDYs now and they are no longer PCSing families. Is the Air Force really separating all RPA candidates from there families for 11.5 months to go through the pipeline? It seems outrageous to me, even if they are allowing a couple weeks in between to go back to your previous station.
Also any ideas on how many people generally deny RPA slots? Hoping one opens up for me now that I cannot get CSO.
TDYs seem like a win to me -- more $$ in your pocket. Can you not take your family with you? I have always taken my fam along for the ride, on TDYs ranging from 3 weeks up to 4 months. Just use your MI&E per diem to offset a larger living accommodation. Heck, go for a furnished place to save you the hassle of moving furniture over. Take the essentials and leave everything else in storage back at your PDS.
No ideas on how many people turn down RPAs; however, I feel that it is more competitive to obtain than over a CSO slot. Just my two cents though.

So I received a call back from AFPC!
- ~300 applicants with ~ 200 total slots
- 50/50 split between Pilot/RPA & CSO/ABM
- “Most everyone who received a slot got their first or second choice” (that’s the line that caught my attention)
- No emails will be sent from the APFC side to those who didn’t get picked up, so we’ll all have to wait
-Commander Notification will come out via AFPC Secure to FSS’s first thing Thursday Morning. It’s on the FSS to check
Not sure if this is new or useful to any of y’all but just wanted to put it out there.
Here’s to next Thursday!
You are the man! Thanks for the insight.
