5 hours ago, Lost as you are said:
His orders changed from Randolph to Laughlin.
Yep... I got that from when he responded to my post saying that’s what happened. I’m saying I wonder why.
I got an email as well, this morning to my personal email. I went onto vmpf and checked my assignment and it says Laughlin now.

So I just got notified that my orders just changed from Randolph to Laughlin AFB. Same RNLT date.

According to this article, PTN is at JBSA now, and it seems like classes start about every 6 months which would make sense.

Randolph UPT class starts 15 July.
Any other intel on this since it's so non-standard? Is it just going to be 2 classes?

Got my RIP today or IFT from my formal training rep. 17 March-12 April. I got a second RIP for my aerospace physical at Peterson for 12 March-16 March. I was under the impression those physicals were done at Wright-Pat. Is it normal for the flight physical to be at Peterson and for the physical to bump right up to the actual training dates?
Mine was done at McChord (for CSO). Since it's not a FC1 physical it does not need to be at Wright-Pat and they typically choose a base close to you.

I just received a RIP from my CC for May 2020 to JBSA Randolph. Is this for real??
I'm an INAV, Capt w/ a PPL. Maybe they're looking at sending older folks to Randolph?

There were really only 3 or 4 people on here that found out today?

Don't post the list. I know the waiting sucks, but the Commanders need to be afforded the opportunity

Good luck everyone!

So I received a call back from AFPC!
- ~300 applicants with ~ 200 total slots
- 50/50 split between Pilot/RPA & CSO/ABM
- “Most everyone who received a slot got their first or second choice” (that’s the line that caught my attention)
- No emails will be sent from the APFC side to those who didn’t get picked up, so we’ll all have to wait
-Commander Notification will come out via AFPC Secure to FSS’s first thing Thursday Morning. It’s on the FSS to check
Not sure if this is new or useful to any of y’all but just wanted to put it out there.
Here’s to next Thursday!
I think that's huge- first time they've put an actual date to Commander notifications and not just left us guessing.
I'll cheers to that.

Was there ever an actual projected date associated with the release? The PSDM only said November but I'm curious if that was an early or late November.

This years forum is pretty quiet.
Day 1 of the board over.
Hoping the board keeps us posted on progress.
Honestly just trying not to think about it. Another 2 months before we find out :/

Oh it’s all good! I’ve been in for 13 (prior-service) and have been pretty fortunate throughout my career. I probably won’t reapply, but who knows.
Seriously, good luck everyone! The wait is almost over.
I'm sorry to hear that. Do you know where/ how he found out? My CC doesn't have anything yet

Silence is deafening.
Late this week could be the earliest we'd hear based off of last year's timeline. My guy at AFPC just told me they are directed to get it done before Christmas so that they can flex to the upcoming OTS board for January. So next two weeks!
I was told 20 Dec is the projected date, but is dependent on if the timeline goes as planned. If not the 20th then most likely after the new year.

How is your community looking now? Since we have an influx of enlisted pilots into the RPA world, our manning is healthy and hopefully that'll keep me in the running. Hopefully you're in a good spot this year! I heard a lot of CSOs applied last year so they had to make those manning calls.
Still not great- I'm assuming we're in the same community based on his handle- they don't release a lot of instructors out of here, but I'd say it's gotten better. Good luck to you and thank God I'm not an instructor yet!

I’ve heard the same. Two buddies of mine from here at Wright Patt had their UPT orders turned back on after the color standards changed. The were off to IFS within two weeks, and were PCS’d within 45 days of the IFS return. It was wild how fast they disappeared...
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I know several who were picked up and are not pcsing until the end of December. It's anyone's guess what's going to happen

I talked to one of the AFPC POC civilian that's compiling all the pkgs. They are predicting ~200 applicants this year. 33 applicants from ACC alone... AFPC also needs your 2808 ASAP (there's a new suspense date for Form 2808 only) because applicants are waiting on AETC/SGPS stamps.
Goodluck to everyone.
P.S. This forum is not as active compared to the 2018 one. LOLDid they say anything about number of available slots?
