Same here, even though I'm going CSO I've been waiting since the first week of Feb to get my commissioning letter from NGB. Something must be holding them up, maybe the budget but I don't know.
Diddo on the CSO. I've been waiting since November for dates.

For those that have had dates drop, how were you notified? Email from NGB? Recruiter?
I've read on here that people are notified by the training office in various ways.

I heard something about "a hundred" candidates who have cleared medical and are waiting for training dates from NGB. Was told not to be surprised if it takes 2-4 months.

My packet has been at NGB since November. Anyone have a notion as to what a hold up this long could be contributed to? Is 3 months+ not uncommon?

This is all I know as of right now. I don't know if the changes include AD. As you can see he's not even 100% sure. I intend on following up. I'd like to actually see the literature on this.

My board said something similar. That a guy got excepted at 39. I just got off the phone with my units recruiter and he said there's lots of changes and 35 sounded about right.

Has anyone else heard within the past 2 or 3 days that the max age for pilot training has now changed to 35? My old recruiter says he has the guidance, but I didn't see it in writing. Hence, no need for age waivers.... and no consideration for one after 35 I'm guessing.
Sounds too good to be true. I'm texting my base recruiter right now!

Does anyone know the ANG steps as well as the duration to be expected once a packet is signed by the TAG to obtain dates? I'm in the final stretch here and I'm terrified I'm going to receive a "close but no cigar" notice like Eng30 did.

My packet is currently sitting at NGB awaiting age waiver acceptance. I'm aware that somewhere along the lines A3 comes into play. (Or does it for ANG?)
I've received several warnings from my chief to not hold my breath and not let other opportunities pass me by because it's still very likely the packet can still get shot down. The only other age waivers I've read about are from AFRC.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Some of my buddy's are already getting dates scheduled in August. I don't know if this means everything prior is full. I hope not because I myself am still waiting on a date

I'm guard also. Do you know how long it took for NGB to approve your packet? Gonna suck if all the April dates are filled up already.

I don't know much about getting in straight outta high school but I do know if for whatever reason you don't get in, it's not the end of the world. Two buddies of mine got in by joining the guard. AD and Guard/Reserve are offered the opportunity to apply and the pool of applicants are much smaller. Just an FYI

I just heard two weeks ago from a f15 applicant at my unit that they're granting age waivers for people up to age 35. (Just a rumor from an applicant.) In any case APPLY!
