Hey quick question that may have been answered... I'm PCS'ing soon, and would like to take permissive TDY at my new duty location for house hunting. I'm trying to live on base, but the wait list is long, so I want to have options open. Do I request PTDY from my losing unit? Which office handles the paperwork?

Has anyone tried taking an FAA test at the Advanced Instrument School in Oklahoma City? I'm trying to take my Military Comp test for commercial license and heard it's free to take it through the USAF. Looking to save a hundred bucks or so, and the POC listed hasn't returned/answered my calls.

I saw a flight surgeon accidentally drop a glove. Went straight through the left engine and caked most of it in green goo. The NOMEX didn't catch fire at least.
