Selected: September 2016
FC1: November 2016
NGB Approval: May 2017
Dates: June 2017
OTS: September 2017
UPT: February 2018 Columbus
Side note: does anyone have gouge on this "qualification course" they're making us take before we go to OTS? I was made aware of it yesterday.

You pay taxes to the state you have listed as your permanent address. Unless you start working full time as a technician. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But, as an anecdot, I moved from one state to another for the guard in 2012 and I still pay taxes to my original state.

Charleston, SC (reserve) are accepting apps for the C-17.
Charlotte, NC will be accepting apps soon for the C-17.
You gotta put the leg work in, I don't have any other info than that.
Good luck

I have a hard time believing the PCSM is that cosmic of a predictor. The first time I took the TBAS I got a 69 and the second time I got like a 96 and the only reason why was because I knew what was coming... Idk, just my .02

Mine was sent to state HQ Jan 25th and I was told it made it to NGB at some point already but not sure how long ago. I'm still waiting on approval but was told any day now. I hear it's within 5 weeks or so.
Thank you
Do you have any ideas of when you'll be starting?
We might end up on the same timeline, but I'm obviously uninformed.

Hey guys, how long did it take to get NGB approval after your package was sent?
The way I understand it, my recruiter sends my accession package up to the state HQ. Then, it gets forwarded to the NGB, and from there I get my golden ticket. Any idea for how long that timeline will take?
Thanks

Hi, is anyone in the know about the 107 FS hiring process or timeline? I've tried the Google machine and calling the recruiters but got nothing useful. I figured I'd ask around before calling ops.
Thanks

I also interviewed but the results went out last week
no news is good news

Did anyone apply to the Ohio unit?

KC, is English your first language?

The 144th is hiring?

I don't think we'll hear anything until next month. The package deadline was 30 June and the interviews aren't scheduled until 19 Sep. Usually there is about a month lead time on interview invites.
Thanks, I remember now they had two deadlines. Has anyone heard back from the Wisconsin unit? Their website says "interview selections complete" by July 17.

Anyone hear back from 122nd FW, Fort Wayne?

Does anybody know when packages were due to the 104th FS (MD?) Thanks!

Oregon seems like such a great basing location, wish I was staying guard.
Oregon does look cool. Just get the eagle and palace chase ASAP, easy peasy

Thread revival: is there any T38 IPs that could shed some light on the process of getting selected for that assignment "off the street"? I understand it falls under the AFRC, so perhaps you could be hired directly like other reserve units.
-
Has anyone here gone through the AFRC unsponsored track recently? please PM me. Thanks

Got it, well it wouldnt hurt talking to units if you can. Im not sure if you are prior service, but the units i have spoken to are all for me trying for the november board they are holding. (Grad date December 10) I havent touched bases with my officer accessions recruiter since taking my AFOQT (no scores yet), but I might see if I can get my way in to whatever board I can. is the 15 units preferred ? Because IIRC the regulation states final year of college (could be wrong, too lazy to look through regs tonight).
This is also relevent to my interests..

What would you guys say is the best aircraft or mission for being a "full-time" guard bum? I'd like to make at least $50k+ bumming. I'm married, no kids.
What about SAR? I'd bet you have to be a full timer to sit alert. But it seems like that mission gets plenty of action.

Good gouge. Do you know what aircraft/locations are associated with the surveillance missions?FWIW
