  1. So I think if your CMS is still awaiting approval or disapproval...that might be indicative of a disapproval.

I hope I'm wrong, but it seems with all the forum and FB posts, that they were batch-processed for notifying those approved.

Or is it possible approval will happen the rest of this week, and they have to click approve/disapprove in every members vMPF application?

FWIW, I have an approval e-mail but my CMS still hasn't updated. Neither has my DOS on my CDB.

There may be hope for those still waiting.

  2. Dreamkiller, I am in the same boat-2005 11M. I selected that "I have a retirement/separation application in the system" on my ADP since if I am denied VSP, I will attempt the PC route. I asked my functional if I can extend so I can try all separation opportunities and he told me to coordinate with my CC. When I approached my CC, he said that there is no operational need to extend me. I also put in the comments section that I have VSP in now and intend to do the PC route, but I am not sure how much AFPC looks at the comments, or the ADP, anyway. I am attempting to avoid PCS at all costs because I was hired into a full-time reserve gig. Keeping my fingers crossed. Should have just applied for PC to begin with...

That's interesting. I'm dealing with the exact opposite. My cc agrees with me that I should be extended since I could be better utilized if I remain in place instead of moving twice in a matter of a few months. Unfortunately, the functional doesn't see it that way and says I should move anyway and to "not worry about it because it is on the Air Force's dime anyways."

Mover's come on the 26th, and if I don't get approval for an extension by this Thursday, then I'll be making a call to the ig since they aren't following the vsp psdm guidance for people in our situation.

  3. So I put in for a deros extension (May to July) a few weeks ago to allow time for a response to my vsp app. Even though it clearly states in the vsp psdm that personnel should extend their deros, AFPC declined my request this week.

These functionals are completely out of control. They actually said, "well the Air Force is moving you anyway, so they'll just move you again if your vsp is approved." Talk about fraud, waste, and abuse. I hope higher ups are actually reading this board.

  4. I thought we were woefully overmanned with 11Ms...

You would have thought so by looking at the rif matrix w/ overages released a few months ago. Wish they would release an updated version, but I could think of a dozen cynical reasons why AFPC wouldn't want to release another one of those again...

  5. My original VSP app was never denied. It made it to afpc 13 Feb. 2006 11M, still waiting on approval/disapproval in the "OFF OF VSP". Also prior E with 12.5 yrs total.

Is this where your app is according to vmpf? Mine has been "referred to BPO" since Feb 12. Just wondering where people are getting their stays updates from.

  6. Anyone else think the '05ers are going to get hit pretty hard this time around? Seems like a perfect storm with most of '04 being ineligible and the delay of the '05 promotion board. Ol' blue probably sees a good opportunity to get rid of a lot of guys before they pin on major. Maybe just wishful thinking since I'm an '05er looking to vsp.

Also, what is up with that statement about processing vsp on a monthly basis? Not first in first out, but your best opportunity will be to apply during the first month?

    Fingers crossed...
