yep, 20 days of PTDY when separating...pretty legit.
What reg is that written in? It goes against everything we've been told since December. It's something I need to see to believe. Not saying I'm doubting you, just verifying.
-
So with the next VSP are they going to roll our apps into that one instead, and push our approval off until July, August time?

Sorry, for those of you who were denied recently. My VSP is still awaiting "adjudication". I'm wondering if your CMS status changed from "Referred to Voluntary Separation BPO" at any point. Mine changed to "Referred to Voluntary Separation Pay Off" a few weeks ago and I'm hoping this is where approved applications go to wait for Adjudication Day (May 1st). Anyone who has been approved notice the progression of offices your application went through? I think we're smarter than AFPC and can figure out their Rube Goldberg device.
Note: I'm talking about CMS and not the status on your application in the Separations application. That hasn't changed for me since it passed my Wg/CC and says "Referred to BPO".
Obviously, I'm quoting from memory because vMPF is down yet again. Fortunately, I've looked at these statuses so often, I'm fairly certain I remember them.
Just sit tight and wait it out. You're app is not going to change until after 1 May.

Got a matrix update email. All VSP year groups up to 2003 are closed.
-
What's the date on that email?
-
"Applications, including those not yet processed and adjudicated, will be processed after the application window closes on 1 May 14". The new 14-08
-
Look at the previously assigned agencies box below in CMS.My current status in CMS shows "referred to off voluntary separation pay". Take it for what it's worth but I wont believe anything until I have my orders in hand.

I show AFPC OFF VOLUNTARY SEPERATION PAY. In the box above I show, referred to AFPC OFF VOLUNTARY SEPERATION PAY. If you have both if these you are at the last stop. However, I've been at this crossroad since 4 March.
I've talked to the TFSC numerous times and the technician said it's the final approval/disapproval stage. Based on the current trend it's all the 02 11M that are being processed now. Hopefully they can crank out 2 yr groups a week.

A couple more 02 11M's approved. C-17 Type

Here's my VSP hold up approval theory:
1. TERA glitch and probably more paperwork involved to retire someone than VSP.
2.They were waiting on extended ADSC waivers which they have now received and now they are incorporating it into a revised PDSM. Once that's updated they probably start approving more rated apps. The one lone wolf pilot that was approved was probably done in good faith to show us it will happen.
3. The 1 May deal is when the VSP approval/disapproval flood gates will open and that'll be their focus. They'll probably still do a small amount of approvals until then. However it could happen earlier.
You can now shred this apart.

Also for VSP I don't think they have a solid date to start notifying people like they did for TERA. Or is it April 30th?
-
Were all the TERA take backs from enlisted? From the Air Force times article it sounds like the numbers revision allowed them to keep 8K+ enlisted jobs. It was written in the AF times.

I checked the Case Management System status last night and mine says "Referred to AFPC Off Voluntary Sep Office" or something to that effect. I just wanted to make sure by it saying "Referred to BPO" in vMPF that it wasn't one step short of being under consideration while the approvals are happening.
I'm in the same spot as you when I use the case management button on VMPF. Thanks for the heads up on that. You are at the last stop. TFSC told a fellow sq member that they are doing them on a one on one approval so no mass batch processing. They also told me they'll do a records review too. Just info from MILPDS not OPRs.
-
Is this where your app is according to vmpf? Mine has been "referred to BPO" since Feb 12. Just wondering where people are getting their stays updates from.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's referred to BPO through VMPF but when I talked to TFSC they said it's at the last stop. Yours is probably there too.

Via John Q Public Facebook; apparently AFPC is now doing take backs for previously approved applications.
That blows. The time stamp says 6:22 pm. Are they really working that late at afpc on a Friday?
-
My original VSP app was never denied. It made it to afpc 13 Feb. 2006 11M, still waiting on approval/disapproval in the "OFF OF VSP". Also prior E with 12.5 yrs total.

Not sure if everyone has seen this. Taken from AF.mil
"Officer and enlisted VSP
About 8,600 VSP applications have been submitted (7,200 enlisted and 1,400 officer), with approximately 50 percent meeting eligibility criteria. In most cases, the ineligible applications are from Airmen who currently serve in a non-eligible AFSC. Even though the VSP window does not close until May 1,750 enlisted VSP applications have been approved thus far with notifications going out this week. Officer approvals will also begin this week now that updated eligibility matrices and overage estimates are published. Applications and additional notifications will continue to be processed in all eligible AFSCs, enlisted grades and officer year groups."

What's the overage for 11M 06 yr group?
-
VSP approval/disapprovals have started. I got 2 buddies that have received e-mails to their work accounts. 1 approval and 1 disapproval. Unfortunately those are the only friends I have...except for you guys, of course!
We will all know a little more by the end of the day between the matrix and people's approvals. Stay tuned
Ranks and year group AFSC for your friends?

So is an adsc 6 year waiver for those that have served 6 years with only 4 left? Or those that served 4 and have 6 left?
I'm thinking the second because that'll still keep the 08 group in the running for VSP unless they graduated upt late.
-
I got an email from my boss today saying that they will waive 550 pilot/flying ADSCs for VSP. There were no details on how many to which year groups, airframes, etc. though so take it with a grain of salt. Here's hoping.
Are you at an undisclosed in location in Southwest Asia where it's April 1st? Haha very funny.
