  1. I was at Eagle 6 years ago, wasn't a fan then, things have probably become worse. I left to go to other places. In my opinion, there are much better regionals to go to right now then Envoy. If the attractant is Flow, you might want to rethink that, as a new hire it could be a very very long time to flow. If you are a military flyer, theoretically you could get hired at AA off the street before you'd ever have a chance to flow at Envoy, if you play your cards right, or so I am told.... If it is bases, I don't think they announced where their 40 -170s will be based in the future yet, so today's bases could be different later. Also they are loosing airplanes as of right now, with a chance of more then 40 ERJ-170, maybe. And since you asked, reserve sucks pretty much at any regional, so a place where you can hold a line at quickly would be great. Places I'd look into are TSA, Compass, and PSA, since they are adding aircraft right now and can seem to staff their airline for the time being. You asked for current Envoy dudes, so take my info with a grain of salt.

  2. I replyed to this dude in a PM but for anyone else's benefit... I have a migraine waiver as an Initial FC1 candidate back in 2010ish. A few stars aligned in my favor: I hadn't had a migraine in over 6 years previous, no Aura, had a positive diagnosis from a Nuero. that I had outgrew them, my civilian AME was a retired Flight Doc that wrote a letter of support, had been flying commercially for 4 years, and my Guard Flt Doc pretty much wrote the waiver that I hand carried to Brooks for my Initial FC1 which they submitted a variation of.

  3. It took me a couple flights to remember that the autopilot and flight director don't talk like they did in a previous aircraft, but after a hundred hours in a jet/sim, can someone still be bad unsafe at using automation?

Not sure if serious, but yes absolutely... numerous occasions, many times with major additional contributing factors.

    Focusing on only Airline crashes...

Yea it is wikipedia, but I couldn't find the NTSB reports easily. Pilots with thousands of hours, with improper reliance on George.

AA has a great video that they show in indoc, where an individual breaks down the CRM factors of "highly automated" aircraft that was created due in part to the 965 flight if I remember correctly. If someone knows of a link to the video on the internet it is a valuable resource. It outlines why most airline SOPs, and Vol3 autopilot procedures were created.

back to your regular scheduled program...

    Edit for video link

Now off to re-watch it to see if its how I remember the video after 6 years.

  4. For those that are feeling the ammo shortage, at a decent price, here is a few things I found out to increase your ability to procure some rounds, movement may vary, hopefully this helps.

Wallyworld has an app that you can download. You can then search for ammunition, and then look for whatever round you are looking for in the store in your AO. If it is In stock, it might be at the counter, or it might not be unstocked from the back, but should be in the store if it is updated. I have purchased 900 rounds of 22LR this way at normal prices. For those out of Wallyworld range you can try mail ordering from sites listed on gunbot.net. The prices of in stock is usually crazy, but it is updated realtime, I have had luck getting .380 and 9mm this way at a decent price. Good luck, ammo is hard to come by, sts.

  5. Not quite--"purpose built" trailers (boat trailers, motorcycle trailers, snowmobile, etc.) to haul things that are themselves allowed to be included in HHG weight are exempt from the single-sxle requirement.

I'm thinking a 8x16 enclosed dual axle trailer I just bought for a sport quad and to PCS w/ wouldn't cut the mustard as purpose built... Oh well

  6. Sent my paper work in today for a CMP H&R M-1 Garand.... Have been meaning to order one for years $595 for a service grade. Anxious to see what a service grade looks like.
