I saw the show you're talking about in 04 in Cincinnati. THis drum solo/battle was definitely the highlight of the show. I thought that Godsmack stole the show. I think Metallica's stage show is much better when viewed outside from about ten yards from the stage with massive amounts of pyro.

Cooter, Yeah sometimes the landings can be pretty heinous, especially sitting in the back and watching the O2 bottles fall off the wall and clock a random AWO in the head out at the TRS. That'll leave a nasty scar.You can always tell a brand new CP doing their first landing. In their defense, it's pretty hard to land a jet when you have 30+ people hacking on it everytime. As long as the takeoffs equal the landing I'm happy as a pig in slop. Hacker, HAHAHA, only question is would it actually work?

AWACS static display. Slackjawed yokel: Does the dome detach? Me: Sure, you see this station right here, that's where we fly it from. If someone tries to attack us we can detach it and use it to ram the bad guy. Stoner kid: What's in the dome? Me: It's the AWACS escape pod. If we're ever going down everyone just climbs in and it detachs and floats down. Old person: You're too young to be in the Air Force. Me: You're absolutely right, my parents don't know I'm playing hooky from school please don't tell them. Random person: What do you do on the AWACS. Me: I'm the person who goes up into the dome during flight and runs on the treadmill to spin the dome.

What happened at Hurlburt? I used to have a great time listening to all the stories over a beer while I was on casual... Made life more interesting to hear about the guys who were actually there in Panama, Grenada, etc... rather than just learning about them in a class in college.

No you can't wear steel toe boots, but I don't think anyone actually checks. It has something to do with you can get frostbite more quickly with them.
