  1. Don't give a damn if the Marines were pissing on corpses who when they were breathing would do the same on them if they had a better day. Now what I have a problem with is putting it on the web so the people who ordered those Marines to be put in that situation but never had the guts to do it themselves to sit in judgement of them. So the Marine who filmed it and stuck it on You tube, your an asshole with with a questionable thought process. The American public has no idea what it takes to survive over here and they dont need to know.

I couldn't agree more that the guys on the sideline bear no right to feel deserved of the power to pass judgement on the actions of the guy getting shot at. That said, in a day and age when technology is so advanced and information can be taken and uploaded for the public world to see in mere seconds, we gotta be more careful of the shit we do...ESPECIALLY with the uniform on. The repercussions of these actions will reverberate throughout America's current foreign policy with its reputation and credibility that much more smeared.

    Very poor pun management.

    Noted.

  2. False. Anyone just getting an assignment now knew before they started UPT that UAVs were a possibility. If that possibility was/is unacceptable to them they shouldn't have started training.

Seriously? So this dude is getting hooked up then? Sure he would have known about UAVs, or RPAs or whatever they decide to call them this week, before starting pilot training, but unless he went to the academy (just kidding, but seriously) he worked his ass off for years before even getting to this point, well before they were getting dropped. And why does the date you started pilot training even matter? After busting your ass for that long, training to actually FLY aircraft, with the Air Force constantly ensuring you can meet the mental and physical rigors of manned flight, it's simply not right to make it all the way to graduation and know it was in vain and that you're going to be doing the same job that people without real flight experience, such as Army enlisted and Beta program graduates can do. And more than that, you're going to some of the s***iest locations to do it. Now don't get me wrong. RPA operators are doing one hell of a job and we need them. But students don''t go through +10 years of college/testing/endless nights of studying, planning on gaining the prestige, title and thrill of a medical doctor only to find out at the end that they are going to end up doing the same job a nurse can do...for their entire career. Does the Air Force have every right to do this to UPT studs? Absolutely. Is it still f***ed? You bet!

  3. After the drop, the one RPA guy was hanging out at the bar with his buddies and the other one stormed off to go pout behind the Club. Some of his friends eventually found him and tried to cheer him up. A couple IPs tried to set him straight, but the dude wasn't really listening to anybody. Some other dude went off on him, something about preds keeping people alive and how he shouldn't be so selfish about things. I have no idea how it ended. This isn't rumor, it's what I saw first-hand (which is why it probably sounds pretty incomplete).

Can't cut the guy any slack huh? I mean, how bad was he that night really? If I had just found out that the last/hardest/worst 13 months of my life training to fly IN an aircraft were all to just sit in a box in a damn desert for the next 10 yrs, I wouldn't be all too cheerful either. Dude got f*****, plain and simple. Now he's got dudes "going off on him" to add to the night too? Now if he shows up to his assignment with the same attitude, that's a completely different story. You have to accept it and kick ass in it. But as long as this guy wasn't being ridiculously unprofessional (which I can't really tell from your post, and excuse me if I'm mistaken), can't the guy get some time to let that s*** sink in for a bit. Just my $0.02

  4. No one's posted the last Columbus track select?

This isn't exact cuz...well it was a week ago and I wasn't exactly sober, but it was something like this. By the way, all Tones.

    1 T-6 FAIP

    2 E-3

    2 RC-135

    3 C-17

    1 UAS

    1 C-5 (Guard?)

    3 KC-135

    1 C-21

Im pretty sure those are all of them, but the numbers may be a little off. Anyone wanna verify?
