And what would a skillbridge program with you guys look like (for a non mechanic)?

The Verbiage the DoD accepted was Operations or Pilot Management. You gain experience in the Part 61,91 and Possibly part 135 world.

you can earn you ratings with us or be a MEI with us.

im looking for for partner part 91/135 companies to hopefully partner with and folks fly with them as well

How about a SE ATP? if we already have the Multi ATP/commercial/MEI/CFII? just trying to figure out the best way to get the SE CFI... thanks!

Tonka, it could just be a checkride to be honest. But, I’d do a couple of flights to get your CFI SE add on.  Warm up again to SE-isms

SE ATP although interesting to have…there are almost no aircraft you need to have this with

  3. KNSE, KNDZ, KEGI, KHRT, KVPS, KNPA!

Odd situation/possible low SA on my part at the time:

As a CSO with an expired CSO ADSC, I was eligible for the ACP that dropped late September/Early Oct of 18.  However, well before that bonus was announced, I was picked up for pilot training.....

So, months later, when the time came to apply for the bonus, it was of course denied because I had an existing (erroneous) UPT ADSC.........

I'm missing out on $225k of pre-tax bonus here, so does anyone think I have a chance of getting this resolved in my favor?  Do I open a case with AFPC, Finance, Legal, IG?  Lawyer up?  Or do I just STFU and enjoy my window seat?

Unfortunately I don’t think you have a case for the cash....

I think the lawyers would say....

when accepting and being assigned to UPT the became an AFSC of 92T0 which is not 12XX and not eligible for the bonus

But for 200K why not push for it.  There may may have been a short window of still being a 12XX...remember they pay in full years

  5. Hey guys,

I know everyone here wants know what happened and how to fix it which is expected from folks like us.

However,First let’s drink a toast and morn the loss of two fellow aviators.

I knew one of them personally, trained and flew with them down range

Family and friends are being notified.  outstanding officers and experienced aviators.

    God speed......him him him

Something is not adding up.  BACN usually hangs out in the bozosphere, way out of the reach of any RPG, SA-7, or rock that the Taliban can throw at it.  Also, this is not the wreckage of a plane that slammed down from thousands of feet in the air.  The fuselage is largely intact, and it almost looks like the fire started from inside given the burn patterns.

    Stop

My point is some of you sound like a bunch millennial idiots. The number of deployed billets has dropped in unison with the drawdown of forces in the region. People listing 365s as the main reason they’re getting out have a much, much smaller chance of deploying on a 365 than they did 5 years ago. You’re more likely to get your short tour by deploying with your airlift unit, or sitting at the Deid with your tanker than from a non-vol 365.

Ops tempo issues? Fair. You wanted fewer 365? Fair. But quit using 365s as an issue. It simply isn’t the issue you make it out to be.

Dang, it must be a burden to be such a omniscient graybeard savant.

I understand now you know better even though people are getting out and citing 365s as one of the reasons.   If you dumb down the argument to the millennial idiot level....which I know is hard....I’m sure they will stay in and better yet...return to active duty ASAP.

Come to think I’ve never had this 365 discussion with other fellow FGOs.  My fault for not doing prior research.

So is the desire to not do 179s?  Or 365s?  I'm confused.

What do you want?  To never deploy again?

    Dude, stop....you are being donnish

Of-course no one wants to deploy.  Do you want too?  The point is B.S deployed jobs need to go. The conversion of some of the 365s to 179s is deceitful.

    ....back to bonus talk

I saw the email about U-2 interviews a few days ago and got excited, right up until the “AFPC hates you fighter pilots. No interviews for you!”

I wouldn’t say AFPC hates.....think of it as a one sided and long lasting relationship

True but then why the hell are we buying things in the first place...you have to answer these questions

As a comm guy i wouldn't be chunking spears at ops dudes trying to make things happen...there is outside expertise being sought...but it ain't from some base comm sq

by all means feel free to stay in your lane and stfu

B.S. flag.  Every time I have seen Ops take initiatives to purchase and/or develop new training or tools that involve a freek’in computer or IT....A6 and the comm SQ attempt to put their meat beaters all over it....example #1 EFB....when A6 found out about that the A3 said f’it let’s roll.....it’s you could hear the screams of horror from across the street.

same with the PFPS computers...I mean Weapons systems....comm gets pissy about them every time they want to push an update and we say f-off...you can’t mess with it because we have our own dudes that will fix them

edit: why the fck does it have to work with the cyber dudes? i dont think you know what the hell you're talking about.

edit: IF you’re comm. cyber. Finance. Whatever.

I hope 0.....but I don’t think you know what the f you are talking about.....it will at some level...hopefully just in the coord process....but again....they have an empire to maintain.

If by that you mean a lack of civilian women who are white just like the prevailing AF officer pilot population, then yes, that very much is a primary reason why "shitting where you eat" is more common at DLF than the other UPT bases. I don't know why people tip toe so much around this demographic self evident truth.

PM Sent- what was relayed to me from the AETC functional; CONUS PIT TDY’s can expect out-and-backs for the foreseeable future due to the possible start date changes. My class and a friends class start date rolled two months from the original RIP date.

I thought they were supposed to be out and backs due to fact you could wash out.  Only rare exceptions were approved
