Hey guys, I received PRK last October and since then have been picked up by a guard unit. To spare some time I will make it brief.
My doc messed up on my left eye. At my 6mo exam I was sitting at 20/25 (20/20 -2) and my right was 20/20 (20/15 -3). As far as I know they corrected my astigmatism 100%
Now my issue is that I'm worried that that might be a DQ item when I go for my FC1 exam? Has anyone run into this problem? Only reason why I ask is because I might need glasses/ contacts again to correct it back (as long as it does not get any worse )
Thanks for the time!

Hey everybody, quick question for you all. I was recently hired by a unit to fly C-17's and I am in the "processing" stage as we speak. I will be off to MEPS to get my physical and everything done within the next two months.
Question is in regards to Penicillin; I was diagnosed to be allergic as a child and have been told by my parents my whole life that I am. It is also documented by every doctor I have ever visited. A few years back I accidentally received Amoxicillin when I had my wisdom teeth out ( long story...) and I took it for a solid week and only had an isolated rash before I finally realized what I was taking and stopped.
I intend on disclosing it at MEPS, and just wondering if it is a DQ item, or if it is a quick waiver?
** Side note: I will also need a waiver for PRK that I received last year. Eye's meet USAF pre and post op limits.
Thanks for your time!!

So follow up to my other post... my info was sent out to MEPS and was kicked back. My left eye had a shift in manifest diopter of over 0.50. That was unbeknownced to me because my doctor said everything was fine after I specifically told them the requirements.
With this being said, am I now "unwaiverable"? Its definately depressing seeing the one thing in life you've wanted taken away like that. My Sergeant said he is putting a waiver request in for it, but what are the odds of actually recieving one?
Thanks much as always gents!
