Sending someone to PILOT training with a ten year commitment and then assigning them to an UNMANNED aerial vehicle (UAV) for 10 years is breach of contract. Pure and simple. It would be like sending someone to pilot training and saying you owe us 10 years after this, but you will be a finance officer or a mx officer instead of a pilot for 10 years (bait and switch). Sending someone to PILOT training with a ten year commitment and then assigning them to remotely PILOTED aircraft (RPA) though is OK. Genius.

I'm by no means an expert on UPS hiring, but what I have read on forums is that if you answer "no" to the preliminary questions you get locked out. Hell, even if you answer "yes" to all the questions some dudes still get locked out and have to email HR. If I were you, I would wait to get my ATP. The chances of getting "furthered" without one are probably slim anyways, unless you have rec or someting, I don't know. I applied to a bunch of airlines a year or so ago without the ATP and I got zero calls.
  4. I wouldn't worry about this stuff at your stage in the game. Go to UPT and do the best you can. I did 2 years in Korea and it went by so fast I barely remember I was there.
