Hi all, The Jordanian Falcons are running a photo comp for the picture with the most 'likes' taken last weekend at the Air Tattoo, Fairford.
My photo is currently near the top of the leader board so every 'like' counts. If you can spare 3 seconds then please click on the link below and 'like. Many thanks in advance.

Hi all, especially any Lakenheath folks.
I am a published aviation photographer and as the wx looks great this week I will be in the Mach Loop (aka 'The Roundabout'), this Thursday 11/30/17.
Appreciate any heads up, happy to send any high-res pics in return. Either contact me through this site, or via email to alexjlovell@hotmail.com.

Hi all,
Havn't had the time to post on here for a while due to work commitments but still an avid follower.
For those of you that don't know me I am a UK based lowfly photographer that frequently 'haunts' the Mach Loop in Wales, UK.
If you are after any pics or videos then I should be able to locate these for you if you can supply tail #'s and dates etc, or if you are able to give a headsup of intentions then I am happy to make the journey up to Wales to get some decent photos.
My work can be found on Flikr (alexlovell2011).
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Some of you will be aware that I am an aviation photographer here in the UK and can often be found up the mountainsides of the Mach Loop
On 16th March 2009 I photographed 91-0306 & 316 @ Cad East and to date these are my best photographs. For record purposes I was wondering if anyone would be able to point me in the direction of getting the Callsigns for the aircraft on that day, or even make the aircrew aware that I have some great images from that trip.
I have been in touch with Lakenheath directly but unfortunately they only hold this sort of information for a couple of years.
Thanks in advance

Just to prove that the Mach Loop is a tiny part of the UK's low flying system. These GR4's were photographed in the Brecon Beacons at the southern end of LFA7 yesterday

Hi all,
I plan to visit the Roundabout/Mach Loop next week, but am aware of squadrons flying nights/maintenance/away at the moment.
Anybody able to clarify if there is a chance of some USAF lowfly next week please?
Many thanks, keep up the great work

Some excellent weather, and an awesome video. Please get in touch if you were the aircrew today as I know there are some great images from the flights that I can get to you. Should be able to tie up with the aircraft in the video too, if you know approx times or obviously callsigns (I believe it was Shift, Rico and Brew flights).
Great Work 48th FW
I'll happilly make the 6 hour round trip to film/photograph you guys again, so feel free to offer any headsup in return for hopefully some great images for the squadron bar

Yeah - I noticed that paint (or lack of) and was trying to get a picture showing how bad it was. Is it common and is there any reason for it?

No less than 14 different a/c were present in the "Roundabout"/"mach loop" yesterday from 492 and 494 sq.
Probably the most visits in recent years.
If any of the crews want some pics then get in touch and I'll try and help out with some decent images
Have a good weekend

The jungle drums are beating in the UK planespotting community with the rumours of some USMC F-18's that are visiting Lakenheath to fly through the "Roundabout" in LFA7 in the coming weeks
If anyone would be kind enough to confirm this either way then please can you drop me a pm
Thanks in advance

Buried somewhere deep in the is a list of all the ops squadrons who are having to stand down due to budget cuts, but I'm pretty sure at least one of the LK E-model squadrons was affected.
C models in the Mach Loop, huh? Must be time for them to re-hack annual LASDT training.
Hi Toro
Both the 492nd and 494th Squadrons were indeed affected, although some E-model currency flights have taken place this week
-
I see that the 493rd have visited the Roundabout every day this week so far. Anyone fancy visiting there next week sometime??? "C"s used to be rarer than hens teeth at low level in the uk
-
Alex, we'll have to swing back by the roundabout again when we return from Afghanistan! I think we can do better than we did last time.
Sounds like a plan, appreciate the notice last time - hopefully the weathers better next time!!

Any MC-130 photo's?

Hi everyone
I would like to introduce you to a new website that I have created dedicated to my work photographing military aviation in the uk, particularly in the Low Flying Training Areas of Wales

As well as a dedicated section to the A-10 and F-15, there is also a Miscellaneous USA section featuring more types.
If you recognize your mugshot and want a free high res image emailed to you then please get in touch

Hi all,
In the past few years I have honoured to witness some excellent lowfly from the guys and gals of the USAF, and in turn they have recommend that I share some of the snaps with you here.
Keep up the great work, and if you are ever in the position of planning a lowfly sortie in the UK and would like some high quality photos then drop me a DM and hopefully we can sort something out.
Discretion assured, many thanks for looking, enjoy the photos.
