  1. All ATPs gave me a full refund. I wrote and sent the company's executives an 8 page paper highlighting my training, some shortfalls, safety concerns, some recommendations, and a list of options on how I anticipate moving forward with my training (or lack thereof). I am happy to share it, PM me if interested. Weighing options on completing the ATP, but I need to wait on assignment info before I make any plans.
  2. <-- ATP failure at Denver All ATPs. Instruction non existent, IPs more concerned with FB on their iPhones than scanning traffic and monitoring a student under the hood with traffic all over going into DEN and class B nearby. Their complacency partially set me up for failure. Busted w/eval on initial T/O since I momentarily removed my hand from the throttle. Evidently that momentary action is unsafe in a light twin ( I took my hand off to help set a wind correction on the flight controls). Airspeed didn't even rise. I take some responsibility for what happened, but if IP knew it was an issue and had actually paid attention like a student is out to kill them, the story might be different. 4k for a good ground eval and 0.5 on a taxi out/back and 4.3 in the seminole with 'instruction' by an IP beforehand. Not what I would expect with 2500 hrs in mil acft. Contemplating a recheck, but seminole time is $490/hr at All ATPs. My money may be better spent elsewhere... Note, All ATPs pays it's IPs $7.50/hr. Not what I consider professional... It's on their website under employment. If a google search gives a company as the top 3-5 returns, the company pays for that...
  3. How does one determine YAS? That is the one element I need to understand for the offer since I am Late Rated... From the way it reads, I would consider myself ineligible. I feel like the AF and Congress has been sticking it to me a few times the past 4 years. I incurred $210k of debt from a short sale when I PCS'd from Vegas in 2010 (from a plain generic house on a traditional mortgage and not a $750k ginormous one on an interest only note). I was not eligible for HAP and I made too much to qualify for Obama's Making Homes Affordable program. The military friendly bank, USAA, stuck me with the balance to the tune of $748/mo for 20 years at 0.51% and my assignment could not be reclama'd even though I was slated to move during the same summer cycle as my return from a 10 month deployment. Now there is likely no bonus to subside the sizable debt incurred from my last PCS... Its not like I live outside my means, but I have 3 children and we have 2 cheap-o cars that are paid for...
