  1. Okay, thanks for letting me know! I’m -1.25 so hopefully won’t have any issues at Wright-Patterson 🤞 What are some of the factors that cause the timeline to UPT to vary so much? Is there anything I can do to help speed things along?
  2. From what I’ve recently found out from a Navy flight doc, the Navy is definitely not considering waivers for vision slightly lower than the uncorrected minimums. This makes the decision to go ANG easy! However, I also found out from this doc that my vision might be worse than I initially thought and I’m closer to 20/70 or 20/100 in one bad eye. I’ve been offered a UPT spot with an ANG unit but am afraid of getting DQ’d at the flight physical if it turns out my uncorrected is slightly worse than 20/70. Is the Air Force particularly strict with this requirement or are waivers sometimes permitted? Also, please let me know if you have any advice on getting through the process of being hired to FC1 to UPT start dates as quickly as possible! Thanks!
  3. Hi All, I'd be really grateful for any advice or previous experience regarding the potential to be selected for a naval aviator position with the following visual acuity: 20/40 in one eye and 20/60 in the other eye, with both correctable to 20/20. I know the Navy requires 20/40 uncorrected, but I was wondering if waivers are typically accepted when one eye is slightly off the requirement? Thanks for the help!
