They will know who wants to get out and then they will RIF you for less money. Same with 15-year TERA....they'll deny you the 15 year retirement and VSP after you show your cards, and then RIF you for less money. It is all about cost savings...
Or they won't RIF you either, despite you asking them to. Then, they won't promote you twice, after which they'll offer you continuation which you will turn down, and then you're gone and they don't pay you a dime. Could be a bad deal or it could be the best (Air Force related) thing that ever happened to you.

I did not like directing the removal of "Camera Shy" at our wing, but I did it and moved on. It is now not appropriate. It was at the time, but now it is not.
So nose art was ok but it's not anymore but it might be again someday? Add this to the long and distinguished list of reasons I left the organization I once loved before people like you started to ruin it.Nose art that was painted over can be painted again.

When will senior leadership realize that AAD's are ZERO ADDED VALUE? .
One of my wing commanders would occasionally get all the CGOs in the wing together at the club. He would stand in front of the crowd with a glass of scotch and answer whatever quesitons we would ask him. One flight commander had a Lt that got his undergrad in rocket surgery from MIT and was considering getting a masters in rocket surgery, also from MIT. The kid was also considering Tuoro/Trident/whatever. The flight commander asked the wing king what he should advise this young Lt to do, go to MIT or check the square. The wing commander recommended he go to Tuoro. My list of reasons for leaving the Air Force is long and distinguished, but this conversation is near the top.

Because as soon as you "turn your back" on Big Blue, you're dead to it.
Just like when Big Blue turned its back on me. Would have been nice to fill out an exit survey, though, especially after seeing the sweeping changes that followed every other survey I filled out.

I was passed over once and denied so I just got passed over again, got out of my ADSC, and joined the unit anyways.

Not really worth the drive unless there are no other sporting goods/outdoor stores closer. You won't find any great deals and they're not a destination like Cabela's or Bass Pro (with a restaurant and aquarium and all that).
Thanks you guys. There is a Cabela's next door so I'll swing by next time I go there.

Pile-on to all of the above regarding NBoKC and Dave Devine. Top notch service, good rate and price. We used a VA loan for a new construction.
