I’m going to start claiming that I flew all the airliner models I ride in.

Hard time believing that a traditionally AMC pilot going to TPS has an IP along in a fighter just in case. So if something is done that is Q3’able then the IP doesn’t get in trouble?

That logic doesn’t make any sense.

So you just cut someone loose with an afterburner which isn’t experienced in it?

Are they allowed to log primary because there is an IP on board providing instruction?

One data point: heavy pilots including KC-135 and C-17 drivers regularly fly the F-16, T-38, and even the A-10 without any instructors during TPS.

To answer your question, yes, they do. Turns out having an afterburner or flying fighters from a pure “flight” perspective isn’t that hard. In fact, most modern fighters are arguably easier to fly than many heavy airplanes. Employing tactically, now that’s a whole other story…

As I preambled, my opinion.  But I don't live there, just land and takeoff from time to time.

Negatory.  But those propping the dude up must be feeling the extra weight and getting tired.  They shined a turd to the people but more are seeing that he smells like shit.

If I had to guess it'll be Desantis/Haley.  However, the Covid situation in FL may wreck Desantis at least the media is trying to paint that picture.

I like the Desantis a lot. But at the end of the day he's just a white guy. He has no hook. Nikki Haley is a minority woman, and Dan Crenshaw may be a white guy, but he's a white guy with an eye patch. And a Navy Seal war hero. He has been very clever in wearing that when he has perfectly serviceable fake eyes that he could be using instead. But a boring white guy needs a hook, and an eye patch certainly draws attention.

No one gives two shits about the vice president, so I don't think Nikki Haley as the running mate will make a difference. Besides she's got the experience at this point, she should run for the big seat.

All the have learned the real lesson of Donald Trump, which is never to apologize or be weak with the media. They are able to do that without the ridiculous clownishnes of DJT, and they have an intellectual argument for their positions.

Exactly. You'd have to be retarded to think an F-16 is harder to fly than a KC-135. One was designed to let the single pilot execute multiple mission types simultaneously while communicating with air and ground units, the other was repurposed 1950's airline technology with steel cables moving the controls.

Now, harder mission? Ten times out of ten the fighter mission is orders of magnitude harder than the tanker mission. It's not even close.

IDK....the Dems picked Harris solely because she was a woman and minority.  She was a terrible candidate in the primaries but they wanted to push that agenda.  Biden was picked because he was the only moderate they could pull votes away from Trump.

I think Haley needs to be part of hte GOP future.  They need to figure out how to appeal to younger voters.

I honestly dont know much on Desantis but I can't think of many other figures at the moment that could win at the moment.  Crenshaw eventually but I dont think he's there yet.

That's kind of my point. Harris was picked because they recognize that presidential candidates need something that catches attention. In their opinion, her being a woman and black was the hook. I don't think Biden won so much as Trump lost, because Biden doesn't have any hook at all. Trump was his own worst enemy and he paid the price.

Don't get me wrong, I like DeSantis a lot. He's been a good leader, he's able to coherently explain his position, and he's not afraid to call out media bias. But those are red meat for the base. If you want to pull Independence and Democrats, you need something the differentiates. DeSantis is just another white guy with ideas on how to run the country. He has nothing visual to distinguish him from the competition and attract the shallow voters.

I also agree that Dan Crenshaw is not ready to run for president, which is why I'd love to see him as Haley's running mate. 8 years in Washington will make him a national figure, give him all of the experience he needs, and we would actually have a relevant and intelligent vice president. I really liked Mike pence, but he's just another boring white guy. For better or worse, we need to push back on the leftist narrative that conservatism is a white only event. It's difficult to do that without interesting figures.

@Lord RatnerTrump got his support because he was not boring. Sure he said some things that people didn't like, but who doesn't? He was hilarious in 2015/2016. I was crying laughing at actually seeing it happen, but his message was true despite the presentation. It was how an average dude talks in real life. Not focus group studied, approved speech by the ADL or SPLC. He was an actual human in federal politics. Something no one has seen in a long time. People want that. Look at the non-White support Trump got. Lot bigger numbers than the media would want you to know about. Despite what the neo-conservatives and similar claim about him being "unprofessional" or a "rude" or whatever. I didn't care and neither did millions of people of all colors; because for the most part he said what needed said. I think those calling him "unprofessional/rude" is a covert way of signaling he was against the establishment without outright saying it. Since the GOP/neo-conservatives play for the same team as the DNC.

I hope DeSantis evolves over the next couple years into something more energetic. No he doesn't need to be a Trump clone, but he has got to get tougher and say it like it is and be unique. People want that :usa:!

While I don’t disagree with you that a lot of people unfortunately vote/don’t for people based on things that shouldn’t matter…ie someone’s race or gender, let’s not pretend that the left won’t go after the right even if the person running is the skin color the left says they care about/want to see in office..

For sure. It's not about what the left (institution, not voters) will go after as racist (literally anything), it's about what will capture the attention of the moderate voters.

Well, you can count at least two YES votes for recall from our household. Fiancé voted by mail and I went in person. I don’t have any real hope that Newsom will get recalled however.

At the very least, the recall has kept his power in check for the past 6-9 months. I’m kind of afraid what might happen if/when he survives; I would imagine some heavy COVID mandates could be on the way again. I also think the state legislature may move to change the recall rules, which would be a real tragedy as it’s basically the last remaining check on power in what has otherwise become a single party rule state.

Despite the fact that this state has provided me some fantastic opportunities both on and off active duty, I absolutely cannot wait to leave and we will be taking the first legit opportunity that comes along.

Looks like the recall will fail overwhelmingly. Definitely a tale of two Californias.

Separately, it's an interesting test run to see if the GOP tactic of sowing uncertainty and disinformation about election integrity, as a hedge against a potential loss, is viable. Sad to see the future of our democracy wagered like this.

Please don’t vote DNC when you leave.

We have a republic anon, not a democracy. I would imagine now that the State of Jefferson (XX) movement is going to REALLY take off. Same for the greater Idaho project? (I think that’s what it’s called?)

Both of you ^^ I did see some more local news segments in California (like what @torqued posted) talking with attempted voters who say when they arrived in person were told “they” had a already voted by mail. This is consistent with the statements provided in 2020. Suspicious.

Number of Migrants in Del Rio, TX doubles in 24 hours.

What do you do with this?

WTF is going on?

https://welcome.us/about#welcome-council

This week, former officials with the Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations launched the organization Welcome.us which will work with multinational corporations like Airbnb, Walmart, Starbucks, Instacart, Facebook, Microsoft, and Chobani to provide financial support to Afghans arriving in the U.S. as part of Biden’s massive resettlement operation.

Biden has said he hopes to resettle about 95,000 Afghans across the U.S. over the next 12 months. In a 21-day period from August to September, Biden brought more than 48,000 Afghans to the U.S. for resettlement — a population more than four times that of Jackson, Wyoming.

It's an answer leftists and Neo-conservative Republicans (the same thing) don't want to hear.

Escort them out by physical force, using lethal force if necessary. Without borders, we have no nation. This is, and has been for decades, an intentional invasion of our sovereignty encouraged by the NGOs and politicians (slaves to their masters). Demographic replacement, demoralization, a strain on culture, the economy, and the justice system.

Boris Johnson starts answering questions from the press. Team Biden then removes all press from the room.

The clown show continues in the White House.

But hey, at least the VP has the border under control. Oh wait…

There's that transparency and accountability we were promised...
