Slander Posted August 4, 2010 Share Posted August 4, 2010 RUMINT around one of the squadrons at Luke is that the HO WG/CC only wants Block 42s (no surprise) and they're supposed to stand a squadron up at Holloman within a year...great airspace but shitty social life for the single 25 year old LTs. Why does it seem like all the guys making these decisions went to UPT at Willies and B-Course at MacDill? No sense in keeping the last few good deals around for the young guys when the old craniums already had theirs! Now studs get to dream of going to Columbus or Del Rio for 18 months (casual, ASBC, IFS, UPT) to follow it up with a year in Alamagordo! Yes, please! Back to studying... Didn't think there was more than one squadron of Block 25s still flying anyway. As for things to do in Alamagordo... Well, there's a sketchy looking Thai place that is pretty good. Otherwise, Foxy's, El Paso... BYOB strip club, can't beat it! And if Juarez finally gets to be somewhat safer than Mogadishu again, it can be a fun town.
