I don't know if anyone has seen "9th Company". (2005) But I just saw it for the first time a few days ago. I enjoyed it.

It's about the Russians in Afghanistan during the late 80's.

Also, "The Front Line" was good as well. (2011) A Korean movie about a South Korean company during the Korean war.

Wow, lots of Koreans there, sts.

Both on netflix.

Both good flicks, believe the Korean one is also called Tae Guk Gi as well.

Own it, it's well known in the AK community. Most consider it to be the Soviet Platoon.

Whatever you do, get the version with subtitles; the dubbed over one loses a lot of its luster.

That's the one on Netflix, all Russian dialect with english subs.

Good to hear, cause I thought the last one blew pretty hard, especially after Casino Royale was so good.

Really? I was ready to hate Daniel Craig but I thought the last two films were great. Definitely better than anything Roger Moore or Timothy Dalton (or that Lazenby guy) ever did. Looking forward to the new one and the rest of Craig's career as Bond.

Get an advanced screening or something?

Only perk to being stranded in Mildenhall Space-A cause of some hoe-bag named Sandy, movie came out here a week earlier than the states.

There are only so many beers to be drank at the Bird in Hand

Roger Moore films were my baby growing up! Love him.

I've been stuck here for 4 days with nothing to do but drink, I'm like a refugee in that place

Get your ass to London or Cambridge. Hell, even hanging out in Ely is better than sitting in Mildenhall.

I watched a lot of Roger Moore Bond flicks when I was a kid and thought the same thing. Then I discovered the older movies.

Saw Flight last night.

I was especially interested after watching a Charlie Rose interview with Denzel Washington and Robert Zemeckis.

It exceeded my expectations which were pretty high going in. Great look at addiction issues.

And some nice skin up front...gratuitous or or not.

World War Z

www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcwTxRuq-uk

Why the fuck aren't the media tags working?

Looks like they have completely disregarded the story written by Max Brooks. I don't know why they bothered spending the money on the rights to the book.

Good. One of the worst books I have ever read. Author couldn't be bothered to put his good ideas in a coherent format, so he disguised it as a hip, unconventional method of story-telling that's all over the place and leaves the reader to invent the better part of the story.

Totally disagree. I thought world war z was an excellent book. Maybe it's because I'm not a huge fan of the genre so I had exceedingly low expectations. I liked that he didn't explain the finer points, it was all personal stories. The trailer looks cool, but it also looks like a trailer for a different story.

Disagree as well. Unconventional approach using personal stores was very interesting and I found the book to be very entertaining. Movie looks like it has nothing to do with the book.

Man, you can complain about anything. That sounds like a sweet excuse to go into town and make a bad name for Americans (or good name, since most of the Brits I've met party pretty damn hard).
