When I was there, I kept my boat at 3 places....
1. On base. The Outdoor Rec offers on base storage (not covered) for about $20 a month
2. In my garage (primary)
3. Lake Tuscaloosa....several places
I had a 2008 Moomba Outback V, and another buddy who had a Malibu....and neither one of us would dare park or drive our boat on/near Lake Columbus. Lake Lowndes was a great option to drop in for a quick run or two. Tuscaloosa is worth it's weight in gold -- tow the boat(s) there, on the water all day, stayed at the Yellowhammer Inn (they have a marina), etc...

Basically, what they are telling you is don't take any initiative towards making yourself marketable to the promotion board.
As ClearedHot once said (and I paraphrase):
"I didn't make up the promotion rules. Stop fvcking making excuses or downgrading those folks who are playing by the rules."
BL - explore all of your options and figure out what you can do that best fits your needs both professionally and personally. If it means you get a box cutter master's degree then swindle your way thru ACSC, then so be it. If the peeps on the promotion board don't see thru it, then we have bigger problems.
Besides, promotion should be based on future potential rather than what you've done on the past.

For the new ACSC, how anal-retentive are they with the papers? Am I going to need to put serious thought into this thing, or is it like most other garbage papers? Not really looking to waste time here.
I have yet to read anything for the course....
On my last paper in Joint Warfare....the instructor gave me a topic, I can research what I need to answer his questions. Painful = not the least bit.
I'd treat it as a TUI research paper....put zero thought into it and make an A+.

Best part was hearing what the "Senior Master Staff Sergeant" had to say. Great job Air Force times...
What, that nobody on the "ground" was hurt? You would be absolutely surprised at how many AF officers have absolutely no idea what the Reaper (or other UAS) is/does.
Nothing wrong with the quote unless I'm missing something...

ACSC OLMP?
in General Discussion
You can get the normal courses done EASILY in a day. however, you then have to wait for the applied courses -- which then are set to be btw 2-3 weeks.
I started with NS in mid Oct and with NO delays, was able to finish late Jan 13.
