I didn't shop around when I added a Model Y.  I hit a deer (my luck in rural Georgia finally ran out).  Getting a Tesla repaired is a monumental pita, I'm coming up on six weeks now.

USAA has been amazing on the claim.  No issues whatsoever.  Cant speak to the rates, but they've been great when I needed them.

Long range or performance? Thinking about getting a Y myself after driving one.

It’s gone so I can’t go back and look, but IIRC it was directed at China, not “Asian persuasion,” since it was in the context of the Wuhan Virus.  I could be wrong, though.  I think we throw around “racist” far too much.

The dude said a slur that’s directed at Asian people, Chinese or otherwise. Period. I’m Asian. Its fu*king racist.

Holy shiite this thread is scaring me. I can't believe this group has so many authoritarians in it. I assumed we were all Americans and mostly military members or at least members who served and swore an oath to defend the constitution. Some of you are straight out militant on your authoritarianism. Hopefully you are talking shit like you are sitting at a bar, otherwise you should be separated immediately and not placed any any senior level position.

Calling someone that isn’t your run of the mill shit talk.  If someone said that slur to me while sitting at the Sq bar, I’d punch them in the mouth.

I believe we will see mass voter non participation in future elections. I'm 58 and finally understand that both political parties are clubs for the sole purpose of getting the made guys elected. It was never about public service, since the Biden's are now in power the big money donors will call all the shots to include military contractors. Those of you still in Afghanistan or on the hook for it, we will be probably be staying now.  Back to the status quo , business as usual.

I suppose the Koch brothers don't count as big money donors.  Cool.

  4. +1 for Jon and Trident.  Closed a few days ago on a new VA loan at 2.875% (locked right at the beginning of everything going haywire) and he was consistently responsive to any questions I had and always kept my SA up with how the process was moving along.

What it comes down to is that most qualified guys just don't want to do the job, irrelevant of the airline hiring.  If this was all about the airlines hiring then you wouldn't have a problem hiring rotorwing guys since RW Army WOs aren't just walking into the airlines...rather they are seeking medflight jobs which aren't paying any better than the job you're offering (in most cities they pay worse).

Pretty much this.  I don't really relish the idea of living in Laredo TX or Deming NM after I get out of the military.  Yeah maybe down the road you can transfer to San Diego or Tucson but who knows when or if that will ever happen.

    This!!! ^^^^^

I feel like we revisit this issue one a month on this forum. The NDAA is the law. Congress, specifically the SASC, said no to a $60-48k bonus.

They also said the Air Force WILL use targeted bonuses. Current AF leadership is not trying to insult our intelligence, they're following the law.

Put another way, Congress said the monkeys should be happy with $35k in bananas. The Air Force fought back, but lost. Congress wins. Those are the rules of the game.

Write, call, or visit your Senator and your Rep and tell them what you think.

The law is the law, but 28K as an 11H sucks when others are getting 34/35K.  I get it.  We have the highest take rate out of the pilots in the Air Force.  But all this does is just reinforce that we always have been, and will always be the Air Force's red headed step children.

  7. Anyone have any decent recommendations for good beer places around Okinawa? The Okinawa Brewing Company is pretty good, but has a semi limited selection. The shoppette's here SUCK. Anywhere else in the Pacific but here has a nice selection of IPAs, but every shoppette on this island has absolute garbage beer.

There's a legit pub called Beerrize in the Chatan area. Lots of localish brews and also hoegaarden on draft.

  8. Your CSAR argument is kinda moot though. CSAR is far more limited by he fact you are still using old worn out G model Hawks than what's running the RESCOURT package.

Yeah not so much. If you think all Sandy 1 provides is Rescort you're wrong. As much as I'd like to see a new CSAR helo, I sure as shit don't want to execute in a contested environment without Sandys.

  9. I agree with the statement another poster just made about need to retain enough weapons to ensure a credible second strike capability. There are other critical benefits that ICBMs bring to the table, but it doesn't involve getting drunk, and shooting your watch down, so it's probably too hard to explain to you...

Way to add to the conversation dipshit
