Does anyone have a good phone number to call to get the final word for all of this? I was able to find out how much I have to transfer, but I’d like to know once and for all if I’d be able to retire before the 4 add’l years would be served.

    The phone number is: 1(844) MYVA311 (1-844-698-2311)

Here is the official web site. https://www.benefits.va.gov/benefits/services.asp

I hope you guys enjoy your weekend.

  2. Having a background in finance from Harvard Extension helps. I'll start working on my MBA. from Yale Executive after I earn my UTP slot.

The investment theory really just focuses upon your available equity, credit, location, and risk:reward ratio you feel comfortable with.

If you are just getting started and are probably in your 20's & 30's. Its easy, just live where you can rent (like a 4-plex), buy a tesla instead of a Lamborghini, and ideally marry a beutiful women who works.

As for the rest, that's more corporate style investing. And nobody without a formal education should attempt that.

As real estate, oil, securities, and business development have a much higher ROI.

  3. Well you could use the 9/11 GI bill in combination with other benefits.

For example Harvard let's you work and study at there school. If you just do 10/hrs. a week of work in combination with your GI bill. It might be worth considering over another long active duty contract.

So if your kids want to use it. That might be an option too.

  4. The best way is to check out a book from your local library on that subject matter. You can get a general idea on the subject. But to get into the details it's always best to buy a book.

Sorry if sombody else already posted this book. There are about 6 pages of replies. It's allot of replies. How can anybody find time to read 6 pages? Anyways, I hope the book helps. I read it, and found stuff like free braces, interest free loans, and free travel.

  5. Well, I got through to a few recruiters around the country. And I am going to just humble my self as much as possible doing this job. because that is so important. They don't expect perfection. You just have to try your best.

Nobody is giving me the same answer twice. And they say they hire a new pilot each year in some bases. From both off the streets and promotion from within. From basically any AFSC. Others say they only grant waivers for other officers. But pretty much all of them look highly upon those with prior service in air-force active duty, reserves, or airguard. So if you don't get picked the first time round. You can just join the guard and you will get a big check plus on your application.
