If I can offer you one word… Skillbridge, my dude…there aren’t a shit ton of pilot focused Skillbridge opportunities out there, but there are some. Seems like most are in the 135 world. I did it, and it almost felt like cheating…almost…to be making AD pay for four months while going to a job where I literally just had to fly.

FlightSafety just got approved for Skillbridge and that includes our sim IPs.

I went through a company for a couple upgrades of 0% and the company specifically mentioned do not go to the VA C&P exams, I believe it was separate.

I’ve heard that before. I know a few VA raters and they told me to never skip a C&P exam. It’s a subjective system, though the raters have to weigh the evidence, when all things are equal the benefit of the doubt goes to the veteran.

I’m gonna go out on a limb again and say this is not right. There is absolutely no way anyone should “guarantee” getting every client to 100% VA disability - it is not the case that every veteran has conditions that warrant that rating.

I’m all for claiming what you have and getting paid every dollar you deserve, hell, go ahead and hire professionals to help you out even. But don’t commit fraud and don’t give money to people who are promising things that amount to fraud.

One would still have to go through a C&P with a medical provider of the VAs and rated by the VA. No one gets a rating without VA oversight. Now if the C&P examiner pencil whips the exam or the rater doesn’t do their job, that’s on the VA.

If you’re submitting a BDD claim, a VA doc will not be doing the assessment (ie C&P exam) nor will a VA doc determine your rating once all the claims/documentation is submitted.  Not 100% sure about submitting a fully developed claim (if not using the BDD process), but I think it’s similar in that a VA doc will not be examining you/reviewing your claim.  For a C&P exam, they contract that out, and usually it’s not even a doctor giving the exam, as it can be a PA, a NP, etc.

Raters for the VA aren’t medical providers. My friend is one and he’s an ANG -135 pilot.

Just enjoy the craft beer, it’s one thing the hippies have on the rest of the country, just one.

Beer in the PNW is better and I grew up in the Front Range area. Avery Brewery in Boulder is pretty great though.

How about the idiots who vote for the idiots that run Denver. It's getting to the point that the Peterson SFB commissary is the most north I want to go in Colorado. Have to go to Boulder for a forest fire fighter class soon, looking forward to all the rainbow hair color spectrum LBGTQ I'll be seeing.

Do you mean the self-proclaimed "Democratic Socialists?" This idiot is the first Gen Z rep in the CO General Assembly. Besides being in his 20s and looking like he's 40, he's too buy replacing the US flag at his desk in the House with a Palestine one, sponsoring a "Chicano/Chicana" license plate (like CO needs any more license plates), and "an assault weapons ban."

To the citizens of Denver who are now pissed the mayor is cutting $180M in the city's budget to pay for migrants, you get what you vote for.

It will be interesting to see if this issue is strong enough to overpower abortion as the deciding factor in the next election.  Right now the polls would indicate it is...I simply don't understand why our liberal friends think this situation is acceptable.

They think it's acceptable when they live on their lesbian commune in Boulder, which still hasn't fully supported Denver with the migrant influx, while doing virtue signaling on social media. However, whenever the migrants start to appear in their neighborhoods while drinking their overpriced lattes or while shopping at their farmer's market, their NIMBYism comes out strong.

The residence of Martha's Vinyard were more than happy to escort the migrants to the bus to take them out of their town as soon as their took their photo op showing them giving them a sandwich and coat.

I can't disagree with keeping it to yourself unless specifically discussing it within trusted agents.  However, it's not our problem that their assumptions are wrong.  It's not about what someone thinks is fair, it's what the law/gov says is fair.

It becomes your problem when they maliciously file fraud complaints against you to the VA IG and they start investigating you. It’s more common than you think.

You are correct, the WiFi on these planes is the worst in the fleet. But the flight is only 35 mins, so I can live with it.

Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

Qantas doesn’t have WiFi on their international flights. But that hour flight from Melbourne to Sydney or Sydney to Brisbane? Yeah, it’ll have WiFi.

Do any blue states have a castle doctrine?  I’m ignorant of the law here and I only own one house I occupy.

Colorado and Washington do. A lot of blue states have the Castle Doctrine. Castle Doctrine first appeared specific to state and local laws in 1985 in Colorado. Colorado’s law shielded people from criminal and civil liability for using force against a home invader.

I've got some buddies up there that are trying to effect change/do the right thing where they can, but agree with everything you wrote above.  I've never seen this level of thrash/the HQ reaching into line units directly.  I honestly think the only thing that would satisfy the guy is every -130 and person in the unit fully committed 100% of the time.

On an another fucked up note, CAE just laid off 100% of the MC-J CIs at Kirtland two days ago.  That's really gonna do wonders for PFT production/shortening the pipeline like CAT 5 was adamant about.

CAE is trash when they took over the KC-135 ATS.
