  1. What a collossal bucket of America's response to covid turned out to be. Stores emptied. Stores closed. Goya beans the only thing available on the grocery store shelf. Ammo shortage. Gun prices through the roof. Vaccine touted as "just get on board, it will make this all go away." "Wear your mask. Social distance." I realize a lot of you didn't see it because you can't, but a shitload of people didn't get the vaccine, and those that did well, that didn't really stop the spread. A shitload of people either didn't wear a mask or half assed it. And a shitload of people didn't social distance. If any of you went to the coast during memorial day or the 4th in 2020, 21 and 22 you can attest. So at the end of the day zero point zero of that shit had any effect. Good god there are a shitload of brainwashed idiots in America.

  2. I’m actually watching this live and watching Christian Pulisic get back in after scoring the goal and getting pretty badly injured has been pretty awesome.

  3. Max chaos: somehow Purdue, KState, Utah and LSU win their conferences. Just for the lolz. Whatever scenario gets us to an expanded playoff faster gets my vote. There have been lots of good teams and wild upsets this year, it would be super fun to let the top 12 duke it out. Shit, I want March Madness but for college football. Shut up and take my money!

  4. I wish Tesla would put out an update with some sort of twitter logo on the screen at start up..

  5. https://www.foxnews.com/media/elon-musk-scorches-media-free-speech-asking-wh-monitor-twitter-messed Let's make sure we use Federal resources to censor Twitter. F-ing Twitter. Democrats are now the party of censorship. Who would have guessed? The president and his cabinet are clowns. Why don't we just ban Twitter? It's harming so many lives. People can't live unless Twitter tells them to. Maybe it's our own fault for letting the internet control our thoughts? Twitter and majority of social media platforms are the equivalent of high school gossip. If you can't handle people (who you'll probably never meet) having a different opinion than you without getting the Feds involved, then there's something wrong. This is obviously an issue because Elon is not playing ball with Joe and the censorship/feelings party. The irony is they loved this dude a few years ago. There were and are plenty of smug Tesla drivers everywhere in CA. Now they have to turn their Teslas in because unlce Elon is now a "threat". I think it's funny to think about them charging their cars at night and having to look at Elon's work in the process. They have to drive the Telsas around knowing they are supporting Elon "Hitler" Musk. Lol. Morons

  6. No way that $50 email is legit, and if it actually was, then whoever running this board at Boise is a giant douche. I highly doubt that’s the case.

  7. A little bit of devils advocate here.. It's very difficult to measure something that never happened i.e. the community spread that never occurred as a result of precautions. So saying "zero point zero" of this had any effect is just nonsense. We all logically know that precautions have an effect and the more strictly you adhere to them, the more effective they are. If you went full bubble boy and had no contact with anyone for the past two years, you likely would not have caught covid. We know respirators are better than n95s which are better than surgical masks which are better than cloth masks etc... So quality and level of adherence to precautions absolutely has an effect. But that isn't the takeaway here. And "precautions didn't do shit" is probably the dumbest takeaway possible. Maybe the takeaway here is precautions come with a cost which should be weighed against the risk. And since everyone weighs risks and costs differently it should *generally* be left up to the individual.

  9. And it will only get worse until enough people tell them to GFY in every form of verbal and physical means. A lot of conservatives are pushing for better quality GOP candidates who are more in tune with “the masses;” that’s certainly a real challenge that must be faced cranium on. But holy shit, supporting directly or indirectly the insanity, including widespread censorship and other general fuckery, that the Dems are pushing is throwing gas on a 5 alarm fire.

  10. This question is less rhetorical than it appears. I am very surprised we don't more idiots (I mean people) demanding a total ban on this very harmful, racist, and xxxphobic platform (now that the radical and violent right wing have control of it).

  11. For those that don't know, Glock has Blue Label deals for active and retired military. Ask your local Glock dealer or go on the Glock website to locate them. The deals are very, very good. I carry the Glock 43 and looking to switch to the 43x to get the additional rounds.

  12. Arguments for both sides to be sure. However, I do believe that a first round bye would be a big incentive to win the conference and make those regular season games count.

  13. I saw that email but filled mine out just fine without seeing anything about a $50 fee. I just input my info and submitted. It was just that Google form right?

  14. 43X - perfect balance of size, capacity, and quality. I like bigger cartridges too, but I also like having a pistol that I’m comfortable carrying (IWB) all 4 seasons in any situation (t-shirt/shorts is no problem). I can keep it on my hip all day - driving, sitting, whatever. Whatever you choose, if it’s not comfortable AND works for you to put rounds ONLY where you want them, then it’s a bad carry gun (for you). Quality wise, I have several Glocks with thousands of rounds through them - excellent pistols that I trust my and my family’s lives against humans and dangerous wildlife. I’ll probably never carry any other company’s pistol (not to say there aren’t many great companies out there).

  15. Not to hijack the thread but on the overarching theme of American disinterest due to a perceived lack of action, I wish Rugby would get more of a following here. There’s constant action, violence, and toughness is encouraged. And the culture of player respect (“hooligans game played by gentlemen”) would play well with uptight Americans. I legitimately think if soccer outlawed or at least penalized the flopping, it’d get more of a following here. That part of the game is so antithetical to American sporting culture that I think it’ll hold the sport back here forever.

  17. If they're inviting you to play hockey, they probably like you. Unless you invited yourself to hockey. Or they just needed a body so guys can get fresh legs (jk). Sounds like you're doing the right things. Just dont be the guy thats overly friendly, or is butting into conversations. If none of the places you've visited have had boards yet, you really dont have any way to validate if you're doing things correctly or incorrectly. Otherwise, sounds like you're doing it right. When I was hanging out at interview weekends I basically did the same. Tried to have a conversation with whoever wasn't busy and didn't look like they'd be annoyed that I wanted to talk. Don't overstay your welcome, but if people are there hanging out, be there. Persistence is key in some cases.

  18. I mean, escalating incentives / threats has been the trend, right? Speaking from the civilian side: - You should get a Covid shot! - If you get a Covid shot, you'll get a free donut! - A free gift card! - Your job may require a shot, you should just get it now! - No entry without a vaccine card! - Get a shot or lose your job!
