  1. It was chosen to extend the life of the T-38. It was nothing about CRM or mobility flying.

  2. That's about the quality of analysis I would expect when you ask a Polish 50-year-old contractor about a geopolitical dispute in a region his family has deep and emotional ties to.

  3. Been involved in the union much? I've been blown away by how leaky *everyone* is. Once you get connected to the "swamp" within your union, you start getting texts anytime anything happens, v from multiple people. The gossip and whisper campaigns are amazing, all the way to the top.

  4. Also look into UCMJ Article 138. Once I learned about this, I now share it with everyone. Its one of the most powerful tools, you, as the member, have to hold a negligent commander accountable if they are doing something unlawful. May not be vaccine related, can be for anything.

  5. Anyone with half a brain should realize that the leftist establishment pulling Brandon’s puppet strings loves our gas situation. 1- Furthers their argument of acceleration of programs like the Green New Deal, 2- Improves their justification for large scale social programs just in time for the midterms. What is the saying? “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.

  7. It’s an interesting question. Are TDYs tied to career progression? Is career progression tied to promotion? What would happen to a WG/CC if he told a pregnant airmen that based on her choice to become pregnant she would be denied opportunities for career development and progression? Or what if only pilots who received elective eye surgery to forego wearing glasses could TDY, and therefore advance professionally? Where I’m going here is that a policy of pushing elective medical procedures by attaching career impacting consequences to the choice wouldn’t withstand first contact with legal in any other context. I copy a portion of society has gone COVID psycho, but it’s logically indefensible and unlikely to be sustained if pushed against. Just my guess, I’m not a WG/CC.

  8. This. @congressman - this needs to be one of your last missions before your district disappears. Take the AF to the woodshed publicly and shame them. I know Schlitz is tight right now but this is another shit hole short sighted idea that needs to be quashed. Heavy / crew aviators should have a Phase 3 training program that is challenging and teaches them the all fundamentals and intangibles of being an aviator on crewed, multi engine, complex aircraft executing a range of missions. Flying heavies executing the set of Air Mobility missions is not the same as 121 or 135 flying, not saying that that flying is not challenging or requires talented trained aviators, but Air Mobility is a challenging set that requires its own special training for its new cadre. Initial ME training with a contractor, 50-75 hours in a King Air 260 or Cessna M2, then Tac Training in a backcountry STOL capable aircraft, 20ish hours. #brokenrecord I know but if the PPT rangers get this thru it will be almost unrecoverable

  9. Has the US government restricted or mandated anyone or anything in reference to Monkeypox? At this point I'm not even sure what this thread is about anymore. This isn't the 1st time monkeypox has broken out in the US (reference the 2003 outbreak). The government did fly some limited amounts of the smallpox vaccine to various locations and administered it to a couple dozen people post infection because it's an effective treatment. Do you honestly believe that the US is going to mandate mass smallpox vaccination based on this? Your description above of your process in evaluating what vaccines you take isn't how the military works. Are saying that for every vaccine you've received in the military, you evaluated what the CDC guidance is/was and chose to take the shot on your own? That would've made the MEPS in-processing line or the initial deployment series real slow. I don't know a single deployer with a vaccination record less than 3 pages long; up until this COVID drama, I'd be willing to bet that 99% of military members had no idea what was in the vaccines they took.

  10. Huh, Pres says high gas prices are just the things are going to be from now on. I think his signing person says it all in this pic... https://nypost.com/2022/05/23/biden-praises-gas-prices-as-part-of-incredible-transition/

  12. And why not? Has she paid any price for her crimes? If it were you or I, we would have been blistered years ago. That’s a major part of the problem. These folks feel they are above the law, and in most cases, it appears they are. Politicians need to be prosecuted just like everyone else. If they were, then I believe the world would be a better place. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
