  1. Because societal norms still exist and the woke brigade is only interested in dumpstering the norms that don't serve their interests. Letting white dudes grow beards earns you precisely zero intersectional brownie points.

  2. Other threads have touched on the actions of Facebook, Twitter and other big tech and social media companies as a result of their actions during the election. We have also talked about the pros and cons of eliminating the protections they enjoy from section 230. Twitter suspended a major news organization (NY Post), because they didn't like the Hunter Biden story and labeled it "fake news" when parts have now been proven to be true. Twitter and Facebook have also killed President Trumps accounts. Now Facebook is in a war with an actual country as the battle for control heats up. 3. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=429493285222493 Prosecutors. "We didn't ask you to change your statement did we? Witness: "yes, you did ask me to change it" I'm not even sure how it got to trial (I wonder if the grand jury was lied to).

  4. Don’t get me wrong. I do not approve of how the system has basically removed any reason or logic in order to display fealty to the current agenda. Just sharing an article indicating where things stood.

  5. I once added 50 random points to the tanker ORM sheet because it was impossible to score over a moderate. We had been jacked around the clock for two weeks so the scheduler could “optimize # of missions so everyone got the same # of air medals” (circadian rhythm be damned). The “ADO” lost his shit. I calmly told him I had every intent to fly but that we were so far in the sleep red that we needed risk awareness and acceptance at the Sq/CC level. We flew. And the sq stopped scheduling that way the next day, putting most everyone back onto consistent (for sleep patterns) lines. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

  6. Unfortunately the joke is on everyone who applied for a religious exemption, as I’m definitely not surprised. Big blue never had any intention of seriously looking at each individual case for valid concerns, if they did, we would be hearing about quite a few getting approved, and instead, I have yet to hear of a single one (though here might be a handful that I’m just not aware?). That being said, I’m not a fan of religious exemptions for anything when it comes to the government, even if I’m for or against the directive…that goes for head wear, shaving, etc. If the mission calls for X, then we should all have to comply or no one should have to comply. Likewise I think it’s interesting that in this culture of “equality”, why can’t men have the exact same grooming/uniform standards as women? How does it hurt the mission to allow men to have long hair, earrings, etc?

  9. That's why you should choose to not even partake in their dumb game. Eventually people will come to see your side as the one with standards and credibility. Eternally engaging in shit slinging with people who are always willing to stoop lower than you is a losing battle.

  11. Speaking of Project Veritas, the FBI has been raiding numerous homes of the their journalists, including O'Keefe's. Searching for the "stolen" diary of the President's daughter. Which contains some icky stuff concerning "inappropriate" showers with said daughter and senile Joe. (Diary was supposedly left behind at a rehab clinic and found by next patient who tried selling it to various outlets including Project Veritas) Project Veritas did NOT run any of the material and tried to return it to a Biden lawyer who refused it. So they turned it over to law enforcement for return to Biden's. Another outlet did print some of the material just prior to the election, but it gained no traction with any major outlets. Imagine if that were Trump's name associated with said showers - like the non-existent Russian golden showers or insinuations of incest with his daughter. I used to have so much respect for the FBI. Now, I wouldn't give them the time of day and would instantly lawyer up if an agent so much as said "Good morning" to me. Sad.

  12. At least some of the military is fighting for freedom! Even if it is the former pilots. as I’ve said many times. Current military leadership is a joke. All the way down to Gp/CC and even below. time for many to start critically thinking and defending our constitution against all enemies.

  13. I've cancelled a few times when wx was technically legal to fly, both as the Flight Lead and the OPS SUP said go, and as the OPS SUP when the Flight leads were willing to go. There have been plenty of times where it's much more prudent to not fly that day. Realize you may have to do some explaining, but I've never once been threatened with loss of quals. Even if I had, it wouldn't have changed my mind, especially for a daily CT line....lol make me a wingman only (twoop!). If you said you'd have to "report it to the DO," I'd say sure thing, let's walk down there right now....hell, get the SQ/CC and OG if you want, I don't really care. Once you've been a FL/AC/OPS SUP for a while, you start to learn what really matters and what doesn't. I'm all for going out and getting some good experience/lessons learned, but there are plenty of times where, even if the weather is technically legal, the gain does not outweigh the loss/potential risk. It gets even easier when you have the option to cancel and go fly that mission in a sim.

  14. Yeah we definitely disagree on the importance of the capitol. The BLM riots resulted in hundreds if not thousands of people's lives being ruined, and a few dozen being ended. The capital riots did substantially less damage, and overwhelmingly to the idiots who perpetrated it. I consider the government to be for the protection of the people, so if I have to choose between the the livelihoods of regular citizens in every major city, and the building that failed so spectacularly over the last few years to protect their interests, it's an easy choice for me. And while I get the argument that things are worse when they come from the president, I guess you and I also disagree on the sanctity of the presidency. In my lifetime every president has failed to live up to the standard we should expect. Whether it was Bill Clinton defiling an intern in the oval office, or Obama planting the seeds that have brought us to this new world of chaotic racial division, or everything Trump did publicly, I viewed Trump as merely the outward expression of the political disease that has infected Washington for a long time. And I think that's why they hated him so much. He looked the way they acted, and that was a threat to the very good deal they were all operating under for a long time. I also push back on the notion that the BLM riots didn't originate from a president. Those riots didn't start in 2020, they started in Ferguson years before (with another outright lie supported still to this day by the left), and we're well aware of who the president was at that time. He also had a funny way of not quite endorsing yet casually supporting a notion that was patently false and led people to riot. Very Trumpian of him. Like you said, it's very tribal now. I think liberals have had a very rosy view on political discourse because at the end of the day, until Trump no one was calling them evil for their mainstream beliefs on a national scale. Now the same bitter hate the conservatives have watched for a couple decades is going both directions. Part of me thinks that's a very bad thing for all of us, but maybe that's what it's going to take for both sides to realize that no one wins in this arms race of dishonorable behavior. And on a political level, Virginia proves that the Democrats have violated the only constant rule in American society. Don't fuck with my kids.
