  3. If Trump had only listened to the IP and learned to STFU he would still be POTUS. He is his own worst enemy, not for standing up to the political elite and calling them out, but for the indiscriminate shit flinging at any and everyone (even when clueless about his target). He is a classical liberal, but I'd take a liberal any day over the lunacy of the new left. .

  4. Just imagine how many books they would write if they had a damn president. And the first half of every state of the union will be about how hard BUDS was.

  5. Well, it would appear AAL is bringing me on to hack a line number (no pay date). I had a CJO from back in March of 2020 that got COVID'd. I'm still on AD and I signed the 3 year bonus a year back. So pretty pumped they are doing this...and smart on their part since I was planning on shopping around with SWA and UAL when I eventually got out (again), but not anymore. 2 years of seniority on day 1 is pretty appealing.

  6. I’ve never seen someone who deserves to be an incredibly salty Major more than you. Speaking of public disclosure, want to share why you feel that way?

  7. Say what? If there are enough of those people (in an ARC squadron) to make a difference, then I'd seriously question that units hiring practices. I've only known of one person who wrote the board. He subsequently got out and was promoted to Major within a year of joining the ARC...hired by two majors as well. Personally, I'd give them the "men at work" golf clap for realizing they're in a shitty spot, making the decision to do something about it and actually making it happen.

  8. Understood! Ultimately you got to do what’s best for you and your family. However with that little time till your ADSC expires I’d ride it out. Airline hiring will continue for several years. On the other hand, multiple dudes were primed to get out pre COVID then got screwed when the job they expected wasn’t there. Those that asked not to be promoted (APZ) were forced out. Too much risk there. You could consider palace chase, if a guard unit really wants you then the paperwork on the other side works itself out (promotion waiver), of course big blue has to let you go. Just some things to consider that’s all.

  9. Don’t bring those lies in here. Hadn’t you heard? Racism is purely an American creation and it’s solely perpetuated by white people. Edit: 69th page of this thread.

  10. That's all well and good, but I don't see any of it as a flaw. It's a necessary ingredient to change, and change is the basis for our continued growth and development. A lot of countries in Europe spend huge sums "protecting" people from the challenges you list, and they barely make a difference, other than to saddle the country with a ton of additional debt. There's a whole lot of people moving to non-coastal cities like Nashville and DFW, all which have their small-town suburbs surrounding them. You can read the currents and profit or fight them and drown, but we aren't an agrarian society so having 5 generations live in the same town isn't a viable option anymore. The monopoly stuff is all true, and it's why we have laws for it. But as you noted, the bigger problem is corporatism. As an example, Amazon gets tax cuts for opening new warehouses. Insanity. We need a constitutional ban on selective taxation that extends all the way to the local level. The greatest threat to a capitalist system is unfairness (of opportunity, not outcome). And no, it shouldn't be a luxury, and it's not. Buying the literal maximum amount of "stuff" with a given income is not a human right. Americans are some of the richest people in the world, and even the lower two quintiles can make choices. In most cases it's not a matter of "can they" but a matter of "do they care?" Just like littering, air pollution, organic produce, bike lanes, and fair-trade coffee, buying from mom and pop stores is a concern of the wealthy.

  11. Crenshaw is the only one listed who is able to, and regularly does articulate the underlying principals behind his ideology. His podcast is excellent, and he has a terrific personality/sense of humor. He's a war hero, and he has a "gimmick" that will grab the attention of the reality-TV voters (eye patch). I'd like to see him run with Tim Scott, or someone similarly aggressive in their conservatism while bringing some not-just-another-white-guy diversity into it. It would be pretty badass of we elected a SEAL as president.

  12. I’d much rather just make the damn vaccine mandatory instead of this passive aggressive shit I see a bunch of Commanders doing. Since it’s not mandatory, STFU! I was recently asked why I didn’t want the vaccine and I produced several pages of my vaccine history from all those deployments and asked if they would want another shot for something with the pK of a fly swatter. One man’s opinion.

  13. We can't solve the gang violence problem in any major U.S. city, but sure, let's go try to remake Afghanistan into a functioning country though we don't understand the language, culture, history, who is who, the centuries old feuds, etc. with a population who have an average IQ of 85 and most of whom probably have PTSD from the decades of war, UXOs, child rape, complete lack of safety culture, banditry, etc. FFS.

  15. All we did was create a nation of dependents. I listened on the radio today as Afghanis claimed they have been abandoned. The Taliban want it more, so they will win. This should have happened 15 years ago. We had a reasonable expectation that the Afghans would taste freedom and sustain it with our aid. They let us down, not the other way around. 16. Holy smokes dude, if anyone is chugging down propaganda from media shills, its you. Antifa has gone more quiet because a leftist administration that has worked to advance many of the things they demanded is now the regime in power. The notion that they are just hippies that don't like neo-nazis is f*cking laughable and makes me wonder if you aren't just trolling. Or maybe you really believed that the shit that went down over the summer of 2020 was just a "summer of love". Hunter's laptop story was effectively silenced by big tech. And the whole Hunter Biden story only continues to get richer (just like Hunter Biden) as anonymous buyers pay massive sums for his garbage art, sums that not even established artists could pull down for their works. Wonder where that money is coming from? BLM as an organization that simply wants black lives to matter as much as white ones is a flat out lie and a quick scroll through their own website will tell you as much. It has literally been defined, linked to, etc.. multiple times in this very thread.
