  1. Yet doctors don’t have to fight for pro pay every year...

  2. Well, since the sim instructors at Altus all flew the A model, the young guys hear about it. All. The. Time. How many Altus KC-135 sim Instructors does it take to change a lightbulb? Five One to change it and four to tell you “how we did it in back in the A model.”

  3. I love how the AF thought the Rona had put the airlines down for 3-5 years and short changed the bonus....only for most airlines to rebound in a year and open up hiring again. Bold strategy, Cotton...

  4. On behalf of Marty and everyone at Trident Home Loans we wanted to say thank you for promoting us around the AF! We don't spend a dime on advertising and everyone who has done business with us has helped Marty our owner rank as the #1 VA loan officer in the country for 2020 and even got me to #16. That being said Marty says if you're not first you're last...neither of us even knew they made 16th place ribbons In all seriousness though we really got our grass roots start on Baseops and it has just spread the old school way. These rankings just help us help all our clients leverage the best VA loan rates/pricing out of Wall Street and also give us some extra credibility when we call listing agents on your behalf! Thanks again and know we're always here for you! Cheers! Jon 850-377-1114 jk@mythl.com Application Link Rankings Source

  5. Congrats to Verstappen; a boring drive caused by a really good performance. Well done to Hamilton with the comeback. Russell is lucky he didn't get his ass handed to him literally. I'm betting he did figuratively by Mercedes and Wolf for his unprofessionalism. As evidenced by his public and full apology to Bottas. Don't bite the hand that's probably going to feed you, kid... The more I watch Riccardo, the less impressed I am by him. He's running out of teams to try and not be under pressure by his teammate. Overall, pretty interesting race. I enjoy the uncertainty that rain brings to the performance.

  7. Had it for a hot minute, but dropped it because of our LTD at DAL. 50% of my current earnings is plenty for me for now. Right! In reference to the bonus, you even had a few who smugly proclaimed on a few FB groups that "airlines won't be hiring for years." Meanwhile, guys who were recently on a "no-fly" status just got awarded Captain and guys with 5 years on property were awarded 75/76 Captain. I'd expect for us (DAL) to announce hiring soon as well. What a whacky time in this business. Bottom line, big miscalculation by the AF and .gov.

  10. I was on a MRT in Mildenhall getting a E-3 repaired, our AC LtCol sat the right seat for me so I could troubleshoot. He was shocked and got educated on what we do and try to do plus deduce what a pilot see's when the write up was noticed. We were doing stuff he wouldn't think of trying. MX vs Op's run engines with totally different checklists. During my 89th days 86 to 91 the Crew Chiefs certified by a IP had to taxi the jets VC-137's and VC-135B's down to the hammer head due to no high power run spots on the ramp at Andrews. Plus taxi them during Preflight to the VIP spot in front of Base Ops. Back in the SAC days Tanker crews who were the last to land for the day usually got tasked to do power engine runs when water injection was required, when SAC went away AMC came down and told MX they could do all 4 to water, before MX was only allowed 2 to water. I bet the young guys are going huh water?

  11. I took it more to mean aircrew are not the only people who run the engines, but yeah let mx do mx runs.

  12. I find it shocking and frankly downright scary, the amount of people in this country, including people in positions of power, that believe the burden of proving your innocence should fall on the defendant.

  13. There are currently many senior leaders who do that, affirmative action at its’ finest. I would hate to be hired for a job I believe I earned due to my skin color. Kind of goes against the whole MLK vision for not seeing people based on their skin color but character, you know the rest.

  14. It's ok, just identify as both a male and a female when you fill out your app. Now you're in on both sides of the 50% quota. Actual race and sex discrimination in an attempt to fix perceived race and sex discrimination...

  16. Wow..I hesitate to respond to this high quality crowd..but here goes. To start, a fair number of officers are straight out of the military and tend to fit right in to the police system which at least profiles as a military operation in a lot of cases. (I love the four star general police chiefs). So...whatever "quality" problems exist likely existed in the military. Except , of course a crew chief likely hasn't dragged a deceased kid out of a swimming pool recently or waded into a street fight alone on some freezing dark night. I DID hear of a crew chief who manhandled a lead footed pilot who shredded a couple of tyres...unable to assess quality on that one. Dealing with who knows what problems that John Q dredges up on a daily basis is a challenge of course, but can also drain the personality pretty badly. Being a patrol officer can turn a guy into a hard case over time. And now with this increase in gun play nation wide one could get pretty hyper vigilant and quick on the draw or quick with a beat down or who knows? I do find it curious that peeps who rarely if ever see the blood and guts misery and sadness that officers do and are paid to deal with yap about "quality".

  17. Hello, my name is Evan Stahl. I am making an inquiry to see if anyone knows the director of operations or base commander at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base . I applied to the USMC PLC program (commissioning route for college students) and was not granted a guaranteed aviation contract. I am a rising junior in collage. I can reapply next quarter (June 1st), but the contract is still not guaranteed until I am accepted. I heard from my brother that reserve squadrons can offer pilot slots and decided to reach out. Thank you.
