  1. I realize this is a non-answer, but if his attorney hasn’t already answered this question, my advice would be to retain an attorney who would have already answered this question.
  2. Well good for him if he’s able to pull that off. I’d be excited yet terrified to work for an airline that allowed me to drop my schedule then paid me premium to pick up a different schedule. That can’t be a viable business model, but hopefully it works out.
  3. So he’s gotten 170+ credit hours per month, every month this year? And that assumes third-year pay. You say you saw it with your own eyes or I would absolutely not believe it. As it stands I only pretty much don’t believe that he could credit that much in an average month AND have 12-13 days off. In a 30-day bid period with 12 days off, that’s 9.5 hours of credit per day every day that he’s at work. Tough to do over the course of 10 months IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. He didn't "milk" rated guys. As the article states, the word got out that $300 was the going rate. Guys were happy to pay it and he was happy to accept. If you didn't pay him, you still got your ticket. No one wanted to be the first person to test that technique, for fear he might stop doing the checkrides. When I flew with him, I didn't "tip" him until I already had my temp in hand, so the fee wasn't a requirement. He got sentenced to 366 days in 2012, so I don't think he's still behind bars. 5. Not sure why any of the applications needed 60 days of additional scrutiny...
  6. FAA type ratings don't expire, you just go non-current. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I don't think that's waived, I think it'll come out of your check on a pro rata basis. BUT WHO CARES?
  8. Approved. '06 11M. ~3 yrs. UPT ADSC. Congrats to all. I guess I need to get started on that Truckmaster Driving School app.
  9. So the Air Force doesn't have the cash to cut payroll? "We won't not have the money to not pay you until next year." Got it.
  10. No one heard anything today? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yes, with the caveat that there would be monthly batch processing and that eligible year groups/AFSCs would be closed out as the batches were processed, so you were encouraged to apply early. That statement implied that earlier was better if you hoped to be approved. That changed to the "not first come, first served" with no caveats that we have now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This a catch-22. If several applicants get their VSP denied to try to encourage Palace Chase applications, the matrix won't go red early. If the matrix goes red early, then a lot of VSP applications are being approved. I definitely would've gone the Palace Chase route had they said that they would definitely give preference to that over VSP. As it was, I would've had to pull my VSP application to apply for Palace Chase, and that didn't seem like a wise move given the fact that AFPC has been consistently opaque about the selection process. Now, almost three months after my app, they say that order of application has no bearing on selection, but this way I at least have a shot at both. It's no wonder the AFPC patch is a guy shooting himself in the head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. How can I be furious and at the same time not at all surprised? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. If it's not a person reporting approval for themselves, I assume the approval hasn't happened. Still waiting for the first person with an ADSC waiver to say they themselves have been approved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Someone heard he got approved. I didn't hear him say he got approved, nor did I hear this most recent guy say he got approved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
