If he had to give you a P because you were the only eligible, why the heartburn towards the Wg/CC? Lots of people have refused to do ACSC now a days.

I'm not angry at the guy. He hasn't done anything to me at all. I just said I got to look him in the face for the second time since receiving my PRF.

Now, I have never seen a WG/CC have all award nominees do push ups after a ceremony. People complain about Wing PT. Him barking orders and not doing the exercises. I don't have to go so it doesn't bother me. We did a Wing exercise and it was just him trying to get his star. It was pointless and people who never deploy trying to run the show. There must have been some flyers bravado circulating because lots of the names submitted to participate had already PCS'd. Most people didn't show up anyway. Too many Chief's, and not enough indians was a complaint as well. You are not going to storm or take any ground in the AF while deployed, but they did it.

I did get to speak to my WG/CC boss who is a Maj Gen during a TDY. I was in the room with other leaders and didn't even ask about my WG/CC. I was discussing training and changing course for what we are doing to prepare personnel for the next conflict. The Maj Gen said I need to get someone in there who shares my vision and said my WG/CCs name. Shots fired! I almost died.

Agree.  1/1 without a DP to give is not your Wg/CCs fault.   My only hope is aggregated up to the NAF level

Same.  I got a P because there were only two IPZ officers in my year group on the base.

Just got the guidance for those needing an N-O En route to school.  You can’t get stratted by promotion zone but you can get stratted by peer group.   In other words, N-O PRFs will only have one strat, not 2.  Additionally, for those already at school, guidance has been sent for those to be rewritten.

Seems like a story calculated to impress, but it's actually full of shit.

"My WG/CC gave me a P, but then he had to shake my hand because I won an award.  Then the MAJCOM/CC said I was one of his best officers and said my WG/CC was a doofus.  Then everyone clapped"

How long do you think it’ll be before the really psychotic threatening posts start?

Post about how you completed ACSC and you deserve to be promoted with a P over everyone else in 3...2...1.

Post when you get passed over for not doing ACSC.

What makes you think he won't get picked up?  He was told explicitly by his SQ/CC, who happens to a really good friend of HAF/A1, to not worry it.  And who runs the promotion boards?  AFPC and HAF/A1!  Hello???

Additionally, he has a  Wg strat #1/1 *AND* he is the Wg DO of the qtr.  His records should place him at the bottom of the top 10% eligibles.  I am willing to bet he got the Super P as well..

Well, in an effort to get us back to promotion boards...

I sat through the Webinar on Officer Instructor and Recruiting Special Duty.  Cliff notes:

CSAF intends to give guidance to promotion boards to give special consideration to instructor and recruiting duty, starting next year.  Specifically, formal instruction - being an instructor in a line squadron doesn't count, but being an FTU or UPT instructor will.

They're doing boards to select people for recruiting, ROTC, USAFA, OTS, and Air University positions.  Window opened back on April 9th and closes May 24th.  If you don't want to compete, you can click a box that says "I don't intend to compete"...but your Senior Rater still has the ability to push you to the board.

Senior Raters will be required to pony up 15% of eligible officers (1Lt to Lt Col with 12 months on station).  However, they can subtract T-coded officers from their total before nominating.  The example they gave was two SRs with 140 officers.  SR A has no T-codes - he nominates 21 officers.  SR B has 40 T-codes - 140-40 = 100.  15% of 100 is 15 officers.

They intend to open these positions, on a limited basis, to rated officers.  There are 500 total positions across the Air Force.  50 will go to rated officers, including ROTC instructor duty (not necessarily Det/CC).  You MUST be through your first gate to be seriously considered (96 months).

Finally, if you want to compete for Det/CC, you need to have at least a line number to Lt Col.  You must be pinned on prior to taking over the Det, typically late July/early August.

So, looks like my ROTC rant was just because I was a year ahead of my time.

"When your promotion system mirrors more aspects of a socialistic jobs program than a capitalist performance for promotion, you are undoubtedly going to have issues and ultimately promote those looking to stick it out for the secure paycheck rather than competency." A young captain wrote this statement. Thoughts?

So is it fair to say that UPT pilots won’t get wrapped up in this since they’re all T-coded? I mean, it could be fun to sunset tour at a ROTC det, but I’d just as soon keep flying.

Were you that young captain?

I think the statement ignores or looks past the good leaders who stay and assumes only an idiot would stay.

Negative. It is an interesting statement from a young guy I oversaw as a Flt/CC. He doesn't hold back his perspective.

They said they don't intend to non-vol people.  I'll take your ROTC job if you don't want it.

So if you disagree with him, your publically called out with your employer? Last time I checked, you can fight against ideas and people you disagree with, legally.  Calling out and labeling people like he did is weak intellectually and I’m sure there is some bullying law being broken.  Looks like he’s stalking people on Facebook as well, and he wonders why people think he’s a nut.  I guess he’s off his meds, not that all 3 people that read it would agree with him anyway.

@Butters

It’s hilarious that Butters fucks with him (donations and FB likes) on the outside.  I can only imagine how much further that’s pushing him over the edge.  And who moves the WA state and is surprised by the amount of liberals there?

I’m getting a 404 error on the link, but whatever is going on sounds hilarious. Someone fill me in?
