Passing of Matmacwc

Recommended Posts

It rips me apart to post this, Matmacwc flew west peacefully Christmas morning after a long fight with cancer.  He bravely fought it to the end.

He was truly a good man and a great fighter pilot.

If your inclined to pray please pass a few on to his family.

Nickle on the grass my friend.

🍺

Wow. Prayers to the family. I am ashamed to say I didn’t even know he was fighting through this.

How old was he? Any kids or ways to make a donation?

I've talked to Sara and she is in the process of setting something up for the kids.  I will pass along details when I have them.

If anyone is in AZ and interested in the service information, PM me your email and I will forward. A viewing is planned for Sun night and the funeral is Monday morning in the Tucson area.

We had pm'd a few times planned to get together when he was coming out to visit relatives near me.  I had no idea he was dealing with this.

I will pray for him and for those that knew and loved him who have lost a treasured family member and friend.

My condolences to those that served and flew with him.

p.s.  I never asked him what "Matmacwc" meant.  Any idea, CH (or anyone)?

Holy cow, I had no idea either. He will definitely be missed. Prayers to his family and his squadron.

A nickel on the grass.

Did not know him personally but we had quite a few good PM convo's.  I noticed a few posts here and there about being out on medical but he never brought it up.  Terrible!

Nickel on the grass!

A baseops original. I remember reading his post when I was still in HS, wanting to be a pilot, and I found this forum one day. Never knew him in real life, but sounds like he was a hell of a guy.
