Su-27 fighter jet crashed in Ukraine

A Ukrainian Air Force Su-27UB fighter jet crashed in Ukraine on Tuesday, local law officials said.

A Ukrainian Su-27UB fighter jet has crashed during a joint large-scale aviation exercise Clear Sky 2018. Two people were on board the aircraft.

The accident occurred at around 5:00 PM local time on Oct. 16, 2018, near the village of Ulaniv, which is situated approximately 185 miles southwest of the Ukranian capital Kyiv.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the bodies of two pilots were found: one was a pilot of the Ukrainian Air Forces, the second – a US Air Force National Guard pilot...

F-15C Eagles from the 144th Fighter Wing, California Air National Guard from Fresno 
are participating in Clear Sky 2018.  Additionally, a C-130J Super Hercules from the 146th Airlift Wing, Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, Calif., has arrived at Vinnytsia AB, Ukraine, to participate in the exercise.
