B.A in Political Science 2.66
M.S in Education 4.0

Commercial pilot with about 400 hrs TT.

Does the M.S count for anything or will the low GPA of the B.A weigh more heavily?

PCSM is important (possibly the most important). Have you taken the TBAS? Although with 400 hours you'll probably be in the 90s unless you absolutely bomb it.

Haven't taken the TBAS yet but I'm aware of the UAV study cards, and along with the decent pilot score and flight hours, I think a PCSM in the 90s should be manageable. If I get a PCSM in the 90s, does everything else look decent? Mostly worried about the low undergrad GPA and the low Quant score on the AFOQT.

All of the Guard/Reserve units I interviewed with and visited, it was just "Do you have a degree? Box checked." No one particularly seemed to care about the GPA.

You can't do anything about your BA GPA now. The best thing you did was control what you could -- you got mid 90's on the Pilot section of the AFOQT and PCSM score. Low Quantitative score depends on the unit. If you get an interview and don't get the job, ask for feedback. They've been there before, and they understand. Scores get you the interview; the interview gets you the job. Whole person concept. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback!

With a 95 PCSM in addition to your other stuff you're probably extremely competitive for an interview at any heavy/bomber unit out there, and probably have a good shot at fighters too (just can't speak from too much experience there). If you get the job, well, that's a lot more down to interviewing well and meshing with the squadron personality-wise.

This. If bases have open houses and meet and greets, then show up and chat with the squadron. You both get a feel for each other. It also really helps if you already know someone in the unit...
