You know the left says the same crap about the right? It's the echo-chamber effect.

How would you "not accept the results?" That's about as likely as those bunch of idiots getting into Groom Lake.

I would not put it past prominent Dems to ask foreign governments to not recognize the winner of a race as the President if they didn't like the results and thought they could get away with it.  They could state they recognize Candidate X for President and if the State Governments of the largest, most prominent states refused to accept the results, the world just might follow them.  As it would be the equivalent of an H-bomb on our economy, this might cause all the other institutions in our country to say screw the real results and give in.

They currently flout federal law, interfere and attempt to hamper federal law enforcement when it suits them and ignore the growing censorship, exclusion and harassment of "woke capitol" on private citizens in the economy and public sphere when it suits them.  They suffer no repercussions and only have more incentive to try more.

The Republic as we know it is dying.

Ugh. I really want to pawnman but I'm sick of every garbage editorial needing a login.

I was on my last free article, so it said a few days ago. From what I recall TLDR version: all Dems have to do is nominate a decent human being who can work with possibly Dem controlled House and Senate, but they’re convincing themselves that the only path is a person so radical the country won’t elect them. Trump wins again.

They believe pragmatism can’t beat extremism in an even fight (despite constantly remind themselves the middle isn’t what’s coming to Arenas to see Trump).

When you listen to the head of the DNC lay out party priorities and what it is to be a democrat the last few years though it’s obvious he and others believe they can tap into that youth rage effect as a political demographic. The problem is they don’t have near the patients or pragmatism the establishment needs to steer them effectively and are just as likely to tell the party to F off (Bernie Bros for example) when not getting everything they as a group demand. It’s at best a volatile group to try and harness.

The full koolaid ultra left side of the climate change debate are the best example of this ultra my way or F yourself thinking. Those are the ones who simultaneously believe any and all things must be done to immediately stop carbon emissions and so forth... until the second you bring up the renewable source we currently have ready to go, Nuclear. If it’s not windmills powered by unicorn farts and electric cars powered by magic it’s unacceptable as a solution.

Remember when the GOP was against going into debt?

This two year thing is an abomination.

All fun and games until the bill comes due.

Yup.

One day, one of these carnival barkers we elect every 4 years will have to tell the truth:

More has been promised than can be delivered and that like after any period of excess, a period of sacrifice will have to be had by all.

The rich will pay more in taxes, the middle class will have to wait till they are older to retire and the poor will receive fewer benefits.  We will do less on the world stage than others are used to us doing, we will have to stop borrowing & loaning to our enemies and rivals and require more from those who desire our protection.

You forgot to mention that the middle class will also pay more in taxes (even Bernie has said this will happen I feel he gets elected).

Asfor doing less on the world stage, this is a positive IMO and one of the reasons as to why we're in this mess.

Yup
We only need to close a 900 billion dollar deficit then start to whittle away on 22+ trillion in debt

Simplify the tax code (15% flat tax on 75k and above with no deductions, credits or exemptions. Treat Active and Passive income the same.
Uncap the limit on payroll taxes to fund Social Security, Medicare.
Estate tax on assets above 25 million at 25%.
No overall spending increase till budget in surplus.

True, but it seems the perception of "importance" in the minds of the general public has been ratcheted up into dangerous levels.   I intentionally tried to avoid much of the election coverage last cycle and found it is damn near impossible to escape while existing in the modern world. I believe most people are freely consuming political media round the clock with zero consideration of its effects. Some are motivated by politics to commit crimes and violent acts with increasing frequency, and each one committed lowers the bar for the next.

In general, I support the Christchurch shooter and
his manifesto. This attack is a response to the
Hispanic invasion of Texas. They are the instigator
s, not me. I am simply defending my country from
cultural and ethnic replacement brought on by an in
vasion. Some people will think this statement is
hypocritical because of the nearly complete ethnic
and cultural destruction brought to the Native
Americans by our European ancestors, but this just
reinforces my point. The natives didn’t take the
invasion of Europeans seriously, and now what’s lef
t is just a shadow of what was. My motives for this
attack are not at all personal. Actually the Hispan
ic community was not my target before I read The
Great Replacement. This manifesto will cover the po
litical and economic reasons behind the attack, my
gear, my expectations of what response this will ge
nerate and my personal motivations and thoughts.
Political Reasons
In short, America is rotting from the inside out,
and peaceful means to stop this seem to be nearly
impossible. The inconvenient truth is that our lead
ers, both Democrat AND Republican, have been
failing us for decades. They are either complacent
or involved in one of the biggest betrayals of the
American public in our history. The takeover of the
United States government by unchecked
corporations. I could write a ten page essay on all
the damage these corporations have caused, but here
is what is important.Due to the death of the baby
boomers, the increasingly anti-immigrant rhetoric of
the right and the ever increasing Hispanic population, America will soon become a one party-state. The
Democrat party will own America and they know it. They have already begun the transition by
pandering heavily to the Hispanic voting bloc in the 1st Democratic Debate. They intend to use open
borders, free healthcare for illegals, citizenship
and more to enact a political coup by importing and then
legalizing millions of new voters. With policies li
ke these, the Hispanic support for Democrats will likely
become nearly unanimous in the future. The heavy Hispanic population in Texas will make us a
Democrat stronghold. Losing Texas and a few other states with heavy Hispanic population to the
Democrats is all it would take for them to win near
ly every presidential election. Although the
Republican Party is also terrible. Many factions within the Republican Party are pro-corporation. Pro-
corporation = pro-immigration. But some factions within the Republican Party don’t prioritize
corporations over our future. So the Democrats are
nearly unanimous with their support of immigration
while the Republicans are divided over it. At least
with Republicans, the process of mass immigration
and citizenship can be greatly reduced.

Oops, I thought this was the WTF thread.

But seriously, we're witnessing a slow motion political riot, and it's only going to get worse.

If the problem is mass shootings, everyone is looking for a solution.

Are Trump, Biden, and everyone else looking for a gun law solution legitimately try to solve the problem, or are they 2A opponents who want to disarm the population and turn everyone into slaves of the state?

If a person believes anyone advocating a gun law is not acting in good faith to curb violence and they refuse to negotiate away from their position even a small amount, they will eventually lose big. Trump knows this.

Why am I not surprised that Comey did the same thing Hillary did?

Supposedly, DOJ isn't pursuing Comey for this since it's "small potatoes," but going after him for the FISA warrants fiasco.

On the other hand, DOJ isn't particularly known for going after it's own...

I think everything is way worse than we thought.

If Trump wins, the nation should mourn. America deserves better.

If Warren or Sanders win, the nation as we know it could die.

I'm flummoxed. Trump has been giving them opportunity after opportunity to beat him next year, and each time they find a way to be more politically and philosophically toxic.

And if Trump does win, which I think he might, I'm not sure how Democrats go on. RBG gets replaced by Amy Barrett, another woman loses to the (perceived) ultimate misogynist, and the country continues to fragment.

It's ugly

Ehhhh........

If your worldview stops at the boundaries of Washington DC, and if you determine the health of the country based on what's on CNN/FOX/etc, then yeah, it looks kinda bad.

Honestly, I think the majority of Americans are doing ok, and the country as a whole is going about their business.  But that kind of narrative doesn't get clicks, so you won't normally hear it.

I agree with you, but decisions made in DC still have an impact. I'm looking 20 or 30 years out. Socialism never looks bad when it's implemented. But after the money runs out, and well after the geniuses who promoted it are gone, it's always a calamity.

We have candidates legitimately trying to normalize the concept of wealth confiscation for the common good. Right now, just the billionaires. But do you really think the voting masses will just give up their new entitlements once they run out of billionaires to squeeze?

On the Left, I think they don't have a chance in hell of winning the general election.  It's incredibly hard to unseat an incumbent president, and I have to think it's going to be next to impossible considering the current crop of clowns on the debate stage.

As for Trump, I guess he could be called "unconventional," but I don't think he's entirely as unique as the news media would have you believe.  By all accounts, Lyndon Johnson was a boorish, loudmouthed asshole who you wouldn't want running your local grocery store, much less your country.  However, we didn't have the internet, cable news, and digital cameras in every pocket, so no one was the wiser.

I dunno, just perspective from flyover country, I guess.
