Civilian Job Compensation/Benefits During ANG Duty

Does anyone work for a civilian company that offers compensation or benefits during their ANG duty?

For example, the Feds (i.e. federal government) offers 100% of your pay for 15 days of AT each year, with the ability to roll over 15 days per year. Pretty legit...see here. Allows you to actually make serious money during AT vs possibly breaking even or even losing money depending on what your civilian job pays and your mil rank & TIS.

I've heard from friends that big DoD contractors also offered paid mil leave time, Lockheed being the one named specifically. I'm sure there are others.

BL: I'm trying to get a copy of a military leave policy from a civilian employer in an effort to convince my current employer to offer some type of benefit. I can understand from a business perspective why they wouldn't want to, but on the other hand they make approximately 100% of their profit from DoD contracts and have a founder who retired after a 26+ year active duty career...so I'm hoping they may be willing to play ball.

Any help is greatly appreciated :beer:

*Edit to add: obviously don't post/share if something is "company FOUO" or business proprietary or whatever...even a general outline of what industry competitors offer is helpful for what I'm trying to accomplish.

I know some will make up the difference between mil pay and your job pay for up to a year while on orders, there this program that companies sign up for to pledge support for vets. ill look it up, might give you some ammo?

When I worked for Sikorsky, they would make up the difference between my .civ "normal" 40hrs/wk gross pay, and my .mil gross base pay, if I was on orders for more than 30 days (their definition of "long term" military leave). I had to provide a copy of the orders, and a copy of a recent LES.

Nominate them for an ESGR award if they play along... hell, nominate them even if they don't. It can't hurt the decision process.

My company (Booz Allen Hamilton) offers pay differential for those on long-term military leave, I don't think I can provide the documents however. As for the benefits I would imagine these are some sort of tax write-off. That could be good enough incentive for a company to decide to allow this type of activity while also touting "veteran friendly" and "veterans benefits" or something on their website.
