I deleted and will continue to delete any posts regarding the recipient of my email. I'll take all the shit you want to sling at me, but he was a dumb cadet and he doesn't deserve any shit from anonymous dudes on the internet. If you want to harass him, email him directly....you can probably find him on the global.

Done and E-mailed to see if he has a sense of humor. I said "everyone realizes you were just a kid, but thanks for bringing a smile every time I read that". FWIW, he went to MIT upon graduation and is now working in the "Look at the big brain on Brad" department at LA AFB.

Subject: Cadet Request for F-15 ride

Lt. XXXXXXXXXXXXX,

I am a cadet at the Air Force Academy trying to arrange a flight with the xxxrd Fighter Wing between 21 December and 5 January. I have my Secret Clearance and Physiological Training Card and can coordinate any AOC approval or necessary medical clearance (Form 1042). My presence does not impose any limitations on the mission; Im just along for the ride. Any further guidance or authorization you can provide on this matter is much appreciated. Email is the best way to contact me, but my cell phone number is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Very Respectfully,

Youve got some brass balls on you, cadet fourth class George Sondecker HIV (seriouslyis that your real name, lose that IV crap, it just sounds stupid). Let's break down your message and maybe we can educate you on a thing or two.

Im a cadet at the Air Force Academy.

This message should be over right here. Period dot. Cadets dont troll for rides, they EARN them through the proper channels just like everybody else. Weve got a long list of maintainers who have earned awards through this wing to get incentive rides. These guys bust their asses in the freezing cold and blistering heat and only the lucky few get the privilege of having a ride. Name me three things you think youve done to earn a Strike Eagle ride. Seriously. And by the way, Ive read about all the hard work here - http://www.gdsalumni.blogspot.com/. And I quote The learning curve was very steep this past year as I learned about military culture and doctrine in a pretty stressful environment. Brother, you have no idea what a stressful environment is.

trying to arrange a flight with the xxxrd Fighter Wing

Sweet mother of pearl, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. We are the xxxrd Fighter Squadron, and we are a division of the xxth Fighter Wing. If you want to snivel a ride from us, you ought to at least get your facts straight. This is the foreshadowing of your ignorance, lets continue.

I have my Secret Clearance

Your secret clearance doesnt mean f*** all to us. You think were going to take you up on a tactical sortie? You think were going to let you sit in on classified briefings? You think were going to hang out and talk tactics with you? YGBFSM.

and Physiological Training Card

Your physiological training card doesnt mean f*** all to us. Remember all those hard working maintainers I mentioned earlier? Not one of them has a physiological training card - dont try to impress us with that crap.

and can coordinate any AOC approval

Last time I checked, the AOC didnt run the flying schedule of the 4th FW or coordination of our incentive flights. Apparently youre not familiar with chain of command and proper channels. Let me tell you what this does NOT consist of; it does NOT consist of going VFR direct to the 333rd Fighter Squadron scheduling shop and bothering our hard working schedulers. This consists of you talking to your commander, your commander talking to our commander, somebody in between giving the approval, and then in the middle of your pipe dream you will be denied your flight.

My presence does not impose any limitations on the mission; Im just along for the ride.

You couldnt be more wrong. What exactly is it you think we do here? Do you know anything about the F-15E? Do you know anything about xxxxxxxxxx? Do you know anything about the xxxrd? Since it would seem the answer to all of the above is a blatant No, Ill clue you in. In the F-15E, while we do have two seats, the second seat is not an empty seat that only gets occupied when goobs like yourself call up looking for a ride. Its a seat for qualified aircrew we call them Weapon System Officers. He is an essential part of our mission and we dont give him the boot for guys who are looking to bum a ride. Also, the xxxrd is a Formal Training Unit. That means that we train young pilots and WSOs, so to give you a ride, we would either have to boot a student WSO in aforementioned formal course, or an instructor WSO trying to teach said student WSO. Get the picture?

Any further guidance or authorization you can provide on this matter is much appreciated.

and Im spent - Hopefully this will serve as all the guidance you need. Gents, if there is something I have left out of this mentoring session with young cadet third class citizen Sondecker the HIV, please feel free to chime in.

F'in Classic! Thanks for the blast from the past. This classic email deserves its own thread for posterity, not page 269 of the WTF thread. BTW, I believe an email like that going viral today would probably get someone fired or counseled. There's no room for "telling it like it is" in today's kinder/gentler AF. In fact, some on this very forum have called it "toxic." What a shame.

I do believe there was some counseling involved after it went viral. I leave it for Toro to discuss or not. The Air Force has not changed as much as people think. It is just somewhat easier to get visibility world wide a bit faster these days. Maybe the level of counseling has changed as I remember standing in my Ops O's office with him telling me if I ever do that again he would kill me. His final words "get the out of my office."

I would like to see if the former cadet has anything to say about it.

Article highlights below:

A prosecutor said Wednesday that numerous former and current members of the Arizona Air National Guard will likely pay back thousands of dollars and avoid trial over a scam to obtain expense pay. “Sometimes justice doesn’t need a conviction. As long as people take ownership and pay the money back, I’m happy,” Arizona Assistant Attorney General Michael Jette said.

Jette says the Guard encouraged the deal to avoid a prosecution process that could have taken up to four years with taxpayers footing the bill. According to Jette, the Arizona National Guard also wanted a settlement in order to get several of the defendants back to their missions. Their ability to work with security clearance has been put on hold since the litigation.

“Some of these guys are highly trained pilots. It takes a lot of money to train these guys,” Jette said.

So commit fraud and when you are caught it's all good as long as you just pay the money back? WTF....

Hilarious, but fake. If you look at a couple other videos from the guy who posted it, he does a bunch of fake news cut-ins.

Cut-in is fake, but the "WTF?!?" part is all too real...

http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/Former-Farmington-Schools-Employee-Accused-of-Sexually-Abusing-Cows-247113681.html?_osource=SocialFlowFB_CTBrand

A former employee of the Farmington school system is facing charges in New York after sexually abusing cows on a Herkimer farm, according to New York State Police.

Reid A. Fontaine, 31, who worked for six months as an IT network specialist with Farmington Public Schools and resigned Sunday, is accused of attempting to have sexual contact with multiple cows. Police said another man, 35-year-old Michael H. Jones, of Ilion, N.Y., videotaped the encounter.

According to police, the farm owner set up a surveillance camera after his cows became anxious and stopped producing milk. He contacted police after reviewing the footage.

Farmington Public Schools Superintendent Kathleen Greider said the school district alerted Farmington police after learning of Fontaine’s arrest on Feb. 23. Fontaine resigned that evening.

“The Board of Education and school district place student safety as our highest priority,” said Greider, in a statement. “Once we learned of the arrest of this individual, we took immediate and swift action.”

She added that during his time with the school system, Fontaine did not have direct contact with students. Law enforcement and the FBI conducted a background check when Fontaine was hired and found that he had no criminal history, Greider said.

Fontaine and Jones were both charged with sexual misconduct and released on a promise to appear.

Don't move to CA, unfortunately those assholes over there are influencing us here in AZ.

And Texas, we've got tons of ex-Kommifornicatians moving here because of that state's big problems...

Heard about this brat last night...her case is BS as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there is some legal tap dance she will do in order to force her parents to pony up the cash, but she is absolutely in the wrong. She doesn't want to conform to the rules of her parents? Fine, move out and get a job. Don't want to pay for all your own stuff? Fine, live at home and live by her parent's rules. Her suit should have been laughed out of court

A humanist advocacy group has filed a federal lawsuit to remove a cross-shaped World War I memorial in Prince George's County, alleging the display violates the First Amendment. The 40-foot-tall concrete memorial was erected in 1925 by the American Legion to commemorate the 49 men of Prince George's County who died during World War I.

Stupid. As someone with no religious affiliation, the amount of fvcks I give about the memorial being in the shape of a cross is exactly zero. To me, it's but a memorial, and nothing more.

That said, if I were killed in combat, and a memorial was built for a bunch of us, I'd prefer it not have a religious tie.
