  1. I was really hoping for some Space-A flights...
  2. Anyway to still get in on this?
  3. 12-09's Drop 2x C-130 2x U-28 3x F-15E 2x B-1B 1x MC-130 1x HC-130 1x AC-130 3x B-52 4x RC-135 1x KC-135 3x C-130 (Guard) 1x JSTARS (Guard)
  4. Quick question, why does everyone suddenly care that morale patches are not authorized? Last time I checked they have been verboten for quite some time.
  5. Just to update, I ended up splurging and going with the P226 Navy for my first gun. In my opinion it's worth every penny. I love the ergonomics, the way it shoots, and not to mention the way it looks. I have put over 200 rounds through it without a problem and already want to pick up some more zombie killers
  6. OK gentlemen, I've decided on purchasing my first handgun and I'm looking for some input. I've been doing my own research but any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. Looking for something just to keep around the house and take to the range occasionally. Trying to stay around $400 or below, want 9mm, compact or full-size, new, reliable and easy to shoot. Ideally I'd like to someday own the following: Sig P226 NSW, Beretta 92fs INOX, WWII vintage 1911. Right now these are all out of my price range so the decision is to either buy something cheaper now or wait and save. I've narrowed it down to the Sig P250, Kahr CW9, Ruger P95, or Sig 2022. Others I have considered but ruled out are the Glock 17 (doesn't feel good in my hand) and Springfield XD9.
  7. You do realize this was a maneuver he had probably practiced many times, and he forgot to take into account that he was at a different altitude. Seems like it would be a pretty easy concept for someone who made the t-birds squad to understand that your indicated altitude doesn't always equate to your altitude AGL. Though I guess I'm not allowed to speculate because I'm not part of this elite club of fighter pilots
  8. Because I don't have the time/money to build an RV-7. A Pitts or Cub would be fun, but I'm looking for something sub $30k that I can use to build time and travel with when I'm not busy CSO'n. Any suggestions? To the OP: Since it sounds like you're in AFROTC, take what they've given you and put in your 4 years. If you don't get picked up on an AD board you could try the guard/reserve route after your ADSC is up (assuming you'd still be under the age limit).
  9. I'm interested in this question also. Just because big blue says I should sit in back doesn't mean I'm going to stop flying on the GA side. Also is it feasible to own your own plane while on AD? I'm really getting the itch to use my commissioning loan to buy a Cherokee 180.
  10. Does anyone know if the Zoomies and ROTC cadets will now have to compete for the strike nav spots with us lowly OTS guys in the new program?
