  1. OTS orders do count towards the required points for O-1E. There aren't really any tricks for an E to get more points. The only thing you can do is ask you unit for orders or volunteer opportunities to get on orders somewhere else. You may also look up and apply to volunteer opportunities you qualify for via the (VRS) Volunteer Reserve System "not sure if you have access to this in the guard" on the portal.
  2. Wording might be a little confusing due to the lack of punctuation or separation between requirements. If you break down all the requirements separately, you can see that is an UPT opportunity for both Civilian and Military who are prior rated or not. If you are Mil, then all items that have an asterisk apply to you in addition to the requirements without an asterisk. Good luck all.
  3. Thanks bro, ish happens. Just keeping a positive attitude and keep working with the cards I got.
  4. The Attempt was made but the Reserves did not agree. There is a memorandum of understanding on the AD side that allows them to send the T38 washouts to toners and track heavies. The AD chain sent this letter to Randolph in an attempt to have me re-track heavies like some of the other bros that washed out as well. Randolph's response was that this letter was AD only and it did not apply to them, quoting they did not have the resources. No joy for me on that front.
  5. Thread Revival, I recently washed out of T38s. Like most of you pilots out there, the dream is to be a pilot and I'm not ready to give up the fight yet. Now the hope is for the possibility to go back to finish UPT via Helos or Heavies in the Guard/Reserves. Along the same lines of the original question; Has anyone seen this happen? Previously the AFI 36-2205 did not specify the possibility for waivers on this matter. However the new AFI36-2105 which supersedes 2205 and was updated in 2018 has specific wording on the request for a ETP waiver for section 3.2.12 which is where it states the ineligibility factor that would apply to me. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
