I should clarify I am currently non-rated. I have a little knowledge of where I stand based off of how many guys are still in the running and how many spots are available. My gut and the little info I have tells me I will likely get the alternate slot. Also, this AD opportunity is a new development (within the past few days) so I haven't had a discussion with the squadron about it yet. I'm trying to get my ducks in a row first and fully understand my predicament, but I will likely reach out to the squadron before I make my decision.

Also, I do have new information that since my assignment is a volunteer opportunity, they have had success in the past taking care of their people when other opportunities come up. Makes me feel better about possibly accepting it.

You don't think the squadron has guy's on here looking at these posts? They can put 2 and 2 together, it's not a good look to assume you have a slot. You might be shooting yourself in the foot with this post.

I wish that's how it worked! Essentially I was told that applying at 26/27 (interview was just after my birthday) that it didn't show dedication, and I should've been applying 3 or 4 years ago. The applicant pool has gotten much more competitive especially with ROTC being allowed to go straight to guard now, so I was only in the top half of applicants he said. He was a prior enlisted crew chief as well, I thought I had a good shot, but obviously not a guarantee. I was told to do some soul searching and consider active duty because at my age it'll be hard to get fighters.

Feels real bad man, but getting the VT interview definitely has my hopes at fighters back in the reality realm so I'm chugging on. I absolutely agree though, that they don't owe me a thing. I was given a job, a valuable trade skill, free education, and two bonuses in my enlisted career, they've given me a lot already.

Who wants to live in Atlantic City anyway? (hint: no one does). Go get picked up by JAX or Portland to show em whose boss.

Dude, Seadogs, you made bail after the riot?!  That was crazy man, crazy...

In what way does anything I’m saying hinge on my skin color?  If I’m black it’s legit, if I’m not I should stop talking?

Are you or are you not? Cause if you aren't and you are telling black people to be scared of cops, then you are carrying an authority you do not have. And you come off as highly offensive.

Sure thing...  Black people should not be afraid of the police. Copy.  They have nothing to worry about.  Parents should stop having "the talk" with their kids. Oh, sorry, I meant black parents because white parents don't do that.

    Are you black?

The guy clinging to desperate lawsuits with dubious, at best, evidence and hearsay/eyewitness testimony from very credible people, posting conspiracy after conspiracy from super credible sites is calling me disingenuous?  6-3 conservative majority on SCOTUS. They recognize the absurdity of these lawsuits.  9-0 against the GOP effort.  Sorry.  What is disingenuous about what I said?  I know you won't answer it, but I thought I'd ask anyway.  Correct me then, if I'm the one being crazy, how many challenges has Trump's camp won so far?  1?

Doesn't the WSJ have a bias to the right? https://www.wsj.com/articles/trumps-challenges-to-election-face-end-of-the-legal-road-11607518944

My guy actually said the WSJ has a right bias.

Here, read this. 23639 COVER John Eastman - Trump Motion to Intervene.pdf (supremecourt.gov)

SCOTUS ruled 9-0 against Trump’s PA challenges on the election. Those libtard democrats must have gotten to the conservatives on the court to not have acknowledged all of the fraud that went on...

Now you're just being disingenuous. They voted that one down cause it is being combined with the TX case.

Take your head out of your ass man.

No offense, but some of those millions of people agreeing with you also happen to embrace all sorts of other incredibly wild conspiracies. If shady lawyers like that David Kallman guy, or OAN videos and Fox News are your best evidence, forgive the rest of us for not jumping up to believe him.

The reason everyone keeps saying it is because you literally just said no one’s given you any evidence as to why the other 72M people should believe the system isn’t broken.

And there lies one of the biggest issues. You think CNN, MSNBC, CNBC are all trustworthy. They aren't. Neither is Fox. What's your evidence to dismiss OAN or Newsmax? They are right wing?

Again there is evidence out there. You are choosing to discredit it. Legit video from Project Veritas? "Project Veritas lies" despite the fact that the owner have that has won every lawsuit he has filed.

How about every election up until now as evidence that the system isn’t broken. The burden of proof is on those claiming it is. You can say it is all you want. I have faith it is not, and hopefully that will be evidenced in a few weeks when this is all done with one of the two worst presidential candidates in the history of the US as the President Elect.

Why does everyone here keep saying "burden of proof is on us"? We know it is. We keep giving you evidence. Sworn affidavits. Thousands of them. Votes in MI being switched, and there is only evidence of that happening to benefit Biden. This election is fishy and millions agree with me.

You may be underestimating how low this whole thing is likely to go. Let’s assume that Trump expends all of his legal options and the results overwhelmingly fail to support his claims of fraud (This seems likely based on legal results thus far...you may disagree, but bear with me). What happens then? Do you think Trump is going to tell his supporters “well guys, the American legal system has had its say and we must have faith in that system.”? Hell no he’s not. He’ll leave the White House kicking and screaming and spend the next four years convincing a large percentage of Americans that every aspect of our government, including the legal system is beholden to the liberal deep state and they will come to the conclusion that the only answer is to burn the whole thing down. Do you think that’s a good path for our country? Because that is absolutely the path we’re on as long as this guy continues to be enabled by the party he co-opted.

You haven't given any evidence as to why 72 million Americans and myself shouldn't believe that the system is broken.

    Riots with no punishment.

Mass mail in ballots (ie. switching the rules at the last minute)

Kung flu lockdowns without supporting evidence

    Critical race theory

    Orange man bad

You think this shit 24/7 for 4 straight years was a good thing for our country? This is how one half feels. You can't completely ignore that and only go off of "orange man bad and evil".

Did his competitor spend months laying the seeds of doubt about the upcoming test so that they could, on test day, cry that the test was fouled up?

If similar irregularities occurred in 2016 are you saying that we should have re-run that election too?  Or is 2020 the first time we've ever had vote irregularities?

How far are you willing to go to see Trump installed as President on January 20th?

Jeez I really wish some Air Force general would get courtmartialed so we can finally argue about something worthwhile.....

    https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/your-air-force/2020/11/10/fired-two-star-research-lab-commander-charged-with-sexual-assault/

Biden and the legacy trash media did. Saying Trump will steal the election.

No irregularities in 2016 for Clinton to go to the courts with.

You are only seeking and hearing what you want to see and hear. I can't help you with that bud.

Agreed, and I think most people want that. Video was great, and a calm and rational look at the voting process through the court system should absolutely be welcomed, but that's not what we're getting. The president is not only using the court system to handle claims of irregularities, he is going on Twitter and claiming with certainty that fraud has happened in the hundreds of thousands. I will agree Biden should absolutely welcome all legitimate legal challenges to exemplify integrity, but will you also agree that the president needs to stop actively undermining the democratic process by convincing millions the election will never be valid by saying things like this?

    https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morning-jolt/a-careful-voter-fraud-review/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

A great article on the current state of fraud from a leading conservative publisher (unless you think OAN is the only valid disseminator of conservative thought left) which also addresses the 254 pages of affidavits.

    Why can't he say that?
