  4. My information pertains to me chasing a fighter slot for about a year now and the common denominator is at least a ppl, pilot score is 90+, and PCSM 90+. This will range from unit to unit as some don’t really care what the scores are while others use the scores on a spread sheet to determine who to interview. Definetetly search around on this form as there’s more in depth information pertaining to this in various threads.

  9. MOA placement would be tough to answer. In regards to aircraft, they’re already shopping around for another location, so maybe they’ll make a decision on a new trainer at the same time.
  10. Alliance would be awesome. I fly into Alliance often and also live by the airport. Great facility all around with ample hangar space. Also, kind of cool to fly in and see some longhorns in the fields next to the runway.
  11. Thanks. Do you know when this happened? Trying to figure out timelines as one applicant I know received a rejection email for the visit last week and another whose in the same boat as me that hasn’t received anything yet.

  13. I’m not a military pilot, but I’m in the “youth” spectrum that may use these aircraft and I’ve been using touch screen GPS in various aircraft lately. Most recently, used a Garmin GTN 650 in my multi engine training. Trying to simply tune in a radio frequency on a touch screen GPS, while single engine, in turbulence, under the hood, and in congested airspace doesn’t make life easier.
  14. They quoted a spokes “woman” in the article and I’m surprised they put woman as nowadays people don’t want to be gender identified.
