  1. the unit was not fully stood up when I submitted my app, I submitted the day the FY15 budget was approved which would stand up the unit. there were no position numbers available yet.
  2. Good luck! I believe the key was support from functional.
  3. Approved traditional PC today, 4 weeks at AFPC, 3 weeks SAF/PC. Intent to hire letter, recommend approval from CC, Wing/CC, and functional. Late rate '03 year group... waived 3 years 1 month of UPT commitment as of my separation date in June. B-1 FTU instructor pilot, going to new B-1 reserve unit.
  4. Ha! My career is nominally important to me, the fact that doing my primary duty well (flying and teaching others to fly) is second to volunteering to head up a change of command in a rack and stack already determined that... Although making a media storm is tempting, ruining a bunch of active duty folks' morale and welfare just isn't catchy enough in today's media... I recognize the fultility of the IG complaint system, the problem with big blue is there is no accountability for AFPC, but we have flushed that out here already. My words carry little weight, but they have elevated my case to the office of primary responsibility... a reasonable, thought out answer would be helpful, so I doubt I will ever hear anything.
  5. and screw the IG, I'm going straight to Barbara Walters!
  6. I have been in touch with three of the four bases with eligible 11B's who applied, (not counting whiteman) the ball is in their court to prove me wrong or provide some data to the contrary, I dont have every data point but enough to make an educated guess..
  7. I would also like to know if I am still eligible for FY14 palace chase since the email said I am no longer eligible for FY14 voluntary programs. I sent the following to the TFSC today, it is listed as "elevated" now. not sure the source data is 100% correct, but looks like no more 11B's were selected regardless of the matrix numbers. "How is it that zero 11B's are getting approved for separation on this final round? Your matrix had multiple 11B's in several different year groups still remaining, how can you say you met your quota without approving anyone?? Are you looking for IG complaints? is there an appeal process for VSP disapprovals??"
  8. So if my year group/AFSC/RTDM is closed out is there any sense in applying for FY15 VSP?
  9. 0917 email this morning "This is to inform you that HQ AFPC has disapproved the voluntary separation application"... oh well, time to PC.
  10. despite the sinking feeling in my chest, and the low probability of approval, I am holding on to hope... because it truly is the best thing for my family right now and I strongly believe that my next move is out of Active Duty, no matter which program gets me there.
  11. And higher promotion chances too, right?? <sarcasm> ... all I know is I don't want to be one of the poor saps picking up the peices after this mass exodus. I am on leave this week but I can't seem to stop checking vMPF every half hour or so, just trying to make room for the true blues .
  12. Good to hear... by way of intro: 2003, zoomie, 11B, late rate with 4yr UPT ADSC. been lurking here since december (cant post from .mil) finally applied in April, got disapproved for verbiage then reapplied on the last possible day. regardless of the outcome I want to thank all the contributors here for all the good gouge thus far. RIF matrix only had two in my year group/AFSC, so i figured I had a snowball's chance in a very hot place, but crossing my fingers nonetheless
  13. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
