  1. No, the best part with him is he doesn't have to play to make the money!  If he played, he'd have to compete.  If he competed, he'd be exposed as a guy who boarded the injustice train right as his playing ability dramatically dropped off...and everybody forgets that because it got drowned out in the noise of the anthem protest.
He has been offered contracts to play, he just doesn't want them - he wants to be appointed the starter right out of the gate.  If he really wants to play at all, which I don't think he does.

Seattle tried him out twice. He wanted starter money and that combined with the media circus he would have isn’t worth it when you have an elite starting qb. Similar reason as why Tim Tebow doesn’t have a job. Not a starting caliber qb and too much maintenance.

  2. And I’m sure that wonderful Chief in all her wisdom gave you a positive welcome to a new unit.  Kind of like the Chief downrange who stopped my treadmill for me while I was running to tell me to tuck in my shirt.  I was about to lose my shit when a fellow Major from the squadron intervened and told said Chief that if he pulls that shit again he will call SF on him.  It was like hell broke lose if someone was caught with their sleeves up in the 109* heat.

Mother of God! I wanted to forget that time in my life. What a shit show and dude always had it out for a specific squadron.

  3. Well Gents, it’s been fun but Duck is now a twice passed over Captain on his way out the door. I appreciate all of you who reached out and offered me advice throughout the years. I know that I will have a ton of questions going forward as I transition to the next step. This community is awesome and I love (most of) you guys.

Awesome Duck. Glad it worked out!

  4. My guess is that there are gonna be some surprises or something on this board and they are working on the “optics”. That is the only reason for them to hold onto approved results.

Duck you’ve been effectively promoted and mandated 20 years continuation. The AF just needs to find the right lube to make it easier on you. Thanks for the hold up!
  5. Hmm...I've gotten an as-met board for every promotion board (BPZ/IPZ/APZ) and the RIF board since 2013...four total.

That’s what I was told when I went up for this board. And even got one back in the day when Captains had to have PRFs. Glad I’m not going crazy.
  6. I am 99.69% certain that promotion boards are not given any access to any aspect of your medical records. Check PRDA for your selection folder, that’s what the board sees, and there is no way your medical records are included.

That would be all well and good, however, they never put out an “as met” package in PRDA. More shady work from this board.

  7. Couldn’t stand the 2 piece when I wore it. The sleeves are too long and the pencil holders are on an awkward spot on your sleeve which either means you can’t use them because you need to roll your sleeves up 6-9 times. Or if you did you it they poked you in the face (sts) anytime you put your arms up. The only positive I got out of them was being able to take the top off when flying when it was balls hot out. I’ll keep my bag thanks!

  8. Anyone know of a place in Pueblo Colorado to known out the remainder of the PPL requirements after IFT is complete? I'm looking to take leave to get that knocked out, preferably on the same air frame (DA20) while it's all fresh. One place I found there was giving me email kick backs, which is never a good sign.

Honestly dude. Just go to UPT, focus on that flying, finish that up and get your commercial rating. That’s a lot cheaper and better overall rating. Just need to take a test from a local place.

  9. Alright WTF? The O-4 board release was just pushed back ANOTHER month. Used to be Early March, and now we are looking at Mid-Late May. Still stuck at SECAF level and hasn't been released to the Office of Sec Def. Anyone have any guesses what the fvck is going on with this clown show?
My gut tells me that they are trying to change something major after the fact, just like last board when they stripped all the school slots from the promotion results. That caused the last release to be delayed by about a month or so. Maybe this time they are trying to petition congress (or whoever is in charge of promotions above the AF?) to allow all IPZ/APZ O-3s to be promoted despite who was non-selected at the Central Selection Board.
Seriously, anyone have any vis on this?

Duck, I think they are trying to figure out what to do with you.

  10. Since they never update the board status page, I emailed them and got an email back from the promotion people, the O-4 board was briefed to the SECAF and now with her “lawyers”. WTF does that mean?

I saw something on mypers saying results released in April.
  11. It was a comparison of how trivial the argument is. As I stated before, I’m clearly in the minority here. If someone offered me an enrichment ride on day one of the new procedures I would gladly accept. I’m not a company man, but I do love flying so thank goodness there are several types of us out there.

You’re not serious? So because I have questions on the risk mitigation and safety issues the Air Force is ignoring in favor of pushing the timeline and creating more pilots I don’t like flying?

Dude, none of us would be in this profession if we didn’t love it. We just want an aircraft that does what it’s supposed to do and don’t want another Air Force rubber stamping everything and putting band-aids on major aviation and physiological issues.
