  1. Along those lines, do you guys have a "mil-friendly" DPE in TX. Trying to add MEL and a type, local DPE retired while I was deployed.
  2. xcraftllc, Congrats, just said bye the 187th Viper dudes here in the ‘Stan. I’ve got a few RLO’s (O2/O3 types) I’m trying to help out that are prior KW drivers and now unhappy fixed-wingers on a 1 yr deployment. They realize the Army FW course doesn’t mean anything to the AF and are prepped to start over regardless. Pushing USCG to them as well. These guys are also in the Hood.
  3. That's about half of what the Army does at say, Ft. Hood TX. All the above to include pictures of your bike and PPE. 3 yr re-qual, post deployment refresher and separate sportbike course.
  4. Still some of the best riding I've done while stationed in CO Springs, rode all over the state. My Duc salesmans was racing, this was right after PPIR closed, but there are tracks in the Denver area. For the offroad, sadly I bought my 450 after CO, and haven't found the good areas in TX yet. www.cosportbikeclub.org is a good start.
  5. Thanks for the link, Andrew was in my FW Qual course.
  6. These are highly mod'd King Air 300's, we do have 350's, just not MC's at least not yet.
  7. Yes sir, USASOC, got a bud in my unit now waiting for orders to fly them.
  8. As a former USN rescue swimmer, great to see these guys get credit for risks they accept daily for others.
  9. Think it's time to do the same to my CRF 450R, don't live close enough to any set trails except for the on-base one, but you have to go through all the offroad MSF stuff just to ride there.
  10. Good watch, but seems they are just showing that AF assets as the only show in town for the mission. I get the focus of the show, many casual watchers may not know that there are many other units in-country with the same mission. I'm sure my flight medics would love to have all the gear in the back, I would like the guns and the maxi faceshields (we are not allowed to fly doors off). Great to see the TOC action can be chaos as it is on our end as well, inflight mission changes, way off patient reports/MIST. My ? is who is the det commander, the ERQS Co or the lead CRO?
  11. Agree, now that we are back from our latest OEF tour, I have to switch back to the ACU/A2CU and then convert all of our flight gear back to the ACU pattern. Why not pick one earth tone color and stick with that for the flight gear? The Army Combat Shirt (ACS) is a fun one too, we can only wear it at the aircraft. Pretty easy in my Navy days, pickle suit for both flying and non-flying days, work uniform standing watches. (That got crazy at times, lovis patches Mon-Thurs, Friday was hi-vis/colored shirt day)
  12. Went in 08 and will probably not make it back from my vaca in SWA until the day of the race. I'm planning to head out to Indy for MotoGP again and maybe check out the NOLA track for AMA. Would love to be on the other side of the pit wall for a change and I have an umbrella girl if you needed one! Wish my timing was better. Hopefully the track near me in Austin will be on the AMA schedule next year.
  13. I'm pretty sure we have one person in our deployed unit that is assigned "FB" watch, looking for comments and pictures.
