  1. 100% agree with the point of your post. However, it was an OSI guy supporting NSAv that was convicted for what you mention here.
  2. I'm not saying that it will happen anytime soon (or ever knowing how Big Blue works) but the 1 and 2 year contract options were/are being considered. Here is an excerpt from within HAF regarding a way forward on the Aviation Bonus...date of info was ~19 Jan 17. MAJOR INITIATIVES, ACCOMPLISHMENTS, CHALLENGES (2-4 Weeks): • Aviation Bonus: A1 and A3 plan for tiering the Aviation Bonus based upon new $35K cap was presented to CSAF (did not get briefed to MAJCOM/CCs). CSAF approved next step of socializing various COAs with Congress to gain feedback. LL working to set those meetings up starting next week. The proposal includes tiering of annual amount based on input from the A1PF Aviation Bonus Model and a contract length baseline of 5 years along with 9 and 13 year contract length options for the greatest mission needs. New options will look at 1 and 2 year contracts as well.
  3. The story is true in the fact that the inspection did occur in the wee hours of the morning. However, the tazing incident story is total bullshit...several hundred people living in the dorms and overall the inspections found nothing significant. By that I mean a few (less than 6) underage drinkers, some overly dirty rooms, and a few unauthorized items such as swords, etc). Let's not blow things out of proportion...place is bad enough without stupid ######ing lies being floated around.
  4. MBA Management. But they offer other a few other types of masters as well.
  5. CCU filled the square for me just fine. Took me 11 months start to finish and only cost to me was a little on books. Completely self paced with 4 unit test, 4 essays, and a final per class. No forum posting or any other pain in the ass type of requirements. Haven't had my Major board yet (next board) but it worked to get a masters reflected on my records and I know other guys who have a masters from CCU that are Majors and Lt Cols.
  6. Im going through this right now...When I went to Flight Safety Seattle recently I had the Centerline Thrust restriction and they would not remove it for me which resulted in them being unable to give me a type in the aircraft I was there for. However, all you have to do to get the restriction removed and credit for the type is take your Form 8 from the Air Force Instrument Check you should get at your unit and go to the FSDO. The mil comp rules will allow you to have the restriction removed and recieve credit for the type. Ultimately, I think Flight Safety could remove the restriction fairly easily but it seemed to me they didnt want to do extra work.
  7. Ill be there this year. Part of the party on the last day also requires Mess Dress if Im not mistaken. Should be a good time.
  8. I thought there was either a guard or reserve C-130 unit in OKC? I couldnt imagine flying the AWACS after flying a herk. ShadowNav
  9. I can swing by there this weekend sometime and see if i can get you the information you need. Just PM me your email address and I will see what I can come up with. ShadowNav
  10. Ok everyone so I am putting the finishing touches on my 215 for the upcoming AD board and had a quick question. I have been told in the past the 215 is not an OPR so it should not include a great deal of OPR type information. That it should be written more towards what’s going to make you a better pilot not just how good you are at your job. As a navigator the majority of the things that I excel at in my current job are things that will help make me a better pilot. Well my question is where does one draw the line on what information to include or exclude. Any help is greatly appreciated...Just trying to give my package that platinum touch needed to achieve the desired results. Thanks ShadowNav
  11. You just have to love the ate up people that we all work with. It is definetly stupid to call oneself a Pilot, Nav or any AFSC before graduating as many have found out its not a for sure thing...You can tell a lot about a person by how they react to stupid things like someone missing a salute and for gods sake Lt's do not salute Lt's thats just damn retarded. If you dont agree you are one of those ate up individuals I spoke of before. My .02
