  1. I wouldn’t talk to an AME, unless you have a personal friend who’s willing to discuss hypothetical situations. I’ve been flying for 25 years and never have heard of an actual medical condition as you describe. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, but I think the most likely situation is your body subconsciously reacting to a new/uncomfortable physiological situation. Have CFI fly while you actively concentrate on staying relaxed during these scenarios - see if you can mentally (and therefore physically) train your body to stop tensing up. Also, when you say < 1g/rapid descent, in what maneuvers is this happening? If your CFI is leveling off from a climb with less than 1g he either sucks at flying, or is to some extent fucking around (purposely doing < 1g with no requirement to do so)…neither is a good quality to have in a CFI teaching a new student.
  2. The actual staff can’t even “A-staff”well, but I’m sure the wing level will nail it.
  3. You’re not wrong, but semantics are still at play. Up to 4999 rolling daily average and CBP keeps the border open. Only at 5000 average do they have the power to shut down the border (which is described as an “emergency” action and intended to be temp in nature). Or they could just shut down the border right now and leave it shut until we fix this disaster of epic proportions. We’re in a massive emergency situation, but the bill doesn’t support that fact until the daily average getting through is 5k+. In summary, this bill’s supporters are tacitly OK with 4999 daily average.
  4. I wouldn’t rule out it’s a subconscious response from your body “freaking out” over a new physiological situation it isn’t used to. I’d give it some more time and try to consciously think about relaxing. It’s a common response for the body to tense up when you feel anxiety, fear, stress, etc. (even if those feelings are subconscious). Don’t start to go down the crazy medical rabbit hole yet.
  5. 100%. The people could stop this bullshit pretty quickly, but they won’t, because TikTok, Obama Phones, etc.
  6. Never had a bio, and I see that as a win.
  7. Absolutely! Throw in term limits, age limits, and a transition back to the federalized system we should be, and we’ll be on a relatively smooth path to another few hundred years of being the greatest nation on earth. But no, that won’t happen, because power greed is a real thing.
  8. Wow, I don’t know a single person who makes their own primers. That’s impressive…and short of full anarchy/Armageddon, below the cut line for me.
  9. I logged it all, and as far as the ground guy…
  10. Ha, don’t get me wrong, it was an awesome flight and very grateful I have it in the logbook! Actually a lot of props to the guys who did it - way harder and less survivable compared to what the following generations experienced.
  11. Make your own and it’s cheaper…at least that’s how I justified all the reloading stuff to my wife! And of course I don’t factor in equipment cost to the cost per round - I don’t need that kind of math in my life!
  12. Correct. Fly like a normal jet, but can be taken control of from the ground. I got a flight in the F-4…it was awesome: got my ass kicked in BFM by a Viper and eventually the 69 yr old guy on the ground took control for some maneuvering and then RTB and a pattern. Very cool nostalgic flight, but man I’m glad I never had to go to war in an F-4!
  13. Never have left the cockpit of a fighter and promoted on time to O-5…never played the game to do that. Was told multiple times in my career if I didn’t do X “good deal/career enhancer” it would put me behind my peers, blah, blah. Never was true. Always say exactly what YOU want and do what YOU want (in terms of job/assignment prefs, school in corres vs. res, AD vs. ANG, etc.) Never say or do something because some jackass Bob told you that was the answer. Choose a personally desirable path, not one that someone told you to take. You’ll be much happier and fulfilled for it.
  14. I used to have a lot of fucks to give about sports, but now I have none, especially the ones Biff called out. Instead of watching the Taylor swift show, I shot 500 rounds with my son out back, and then we worked on the knives we’re making. That time together was a billion times better than wasting my time on watching a bunch of prima donnas on TV. They need us more than we need them, fuck ‘em!
  15. @gearhog I don’t agree at all. Arguing a single Putin interview is a threat to national security and a nail in the coffin of our country’s existence is frankly, bat shit crazy. And I’m also not advocating for treason, etc. I guess agree to disagree on this topic.
  16. No way they let him come back to fly fighters. I wouldn’t want him, unless he’s a phenomenal dude who’s going to be a badass OG or WG/CC, and the AF isn’t going to let him be one of those. I hope he realizes working on staff or in an AOC is not going to scratch the “I miss fighters” itch.
  17. The American population is inundated with propaganda on a daily basis - that’s what 95% of MSM and social media produces. So we should shut down the MSM and SM companies since the average American is incapable of sifting through all that bullshit? A nanny state with absolute control of information release to the public (other than classified obviously) is egregiously against every fiber of this country, and I cannot believe someone on here is advocating for that.
  18. Valid clarification - F-16s are all drones too. It’s a weird feeling sitting in a fighter flown by a 69 yr old dude on the ground!
  19. It’s a good big picture idea, but I just can’t get past the part about a man beating Nikki’s ass, it’s just not right.
  20. Everything I’ve read/heard is that she hates politics and hated being involved in any of it. I think there’s a very high chance of a “savior” coming since Biden probably does not make it to the election, but it’s more likely to be Newsome in my opinion.
  21. All out of service after last night with Chang’s and Bashi’s mom.
  22. In my case, if I make it to AGR retirement with my current orders, they’d have to give a $200k+ bonus per year to even match DAL+retirement pay…and then there’s that QOL and willingness to put up with bullshit thing. I actually have a pretty good full time job right now in the ANG, but even this will get immediately dropped at 20y 0m AGR and I will run back to DAL with a significant smile and sense of relief. In the end, I’d stay in my current job longer if they gave me a $300k yearly bonus…that’s my price AF!
  23. One of the best times I had in the JS was the CA and I taking about our days gone by SEA stories…unbeatable memories. I think the FOs (pure civ track guy) jaw was on the floor the whole time. Probably made him question his life decision to not go mil…or he now thinks mil guys are animals. One of the two!
